Watching the news this week like
Estrogen and progesterone have been unfucking my fuckery since July, after three years of slowly increasing symptoms. Can heartily recommend. My favorite little stickers since scratch n sniff in 4th grade.
Their violence will only increase. Every time they are not immediately brought to justice, they get more aggressive.

This is encouraging, because this stuff is really scary. Not knowing what to advise my kids or do on their behalf. I'm going to start with travel docs (passports) for everyone, then look at what's next. No idea what our plan would be, but we've got a great support resource in @transupfrontil.
All the while acknowledging that we are in a state of alarm all the time, and this diminishes my capacity. I'm committing to being kind to myself and others, choosing how to spend my energy with care, and nourishing and strengthening myself physically and emotionally so I increase my reservoirs.
With that in mind, I always try to "start as I intend to go on." These last few days have been filled with creating beautiful, satisfying spaces and systems in our home. With connection, support, and in-person time with friends. With work, start, and completion of art projects.
There's nothing I can personally do about the situation in Venezuela, but, as I did in 2025, I stand at the ready to take meaningful action today and every day to protect myself, my family, my neighbors and my country from the actions of this terrible administration.
I have some thoughts on the New Year, resolutions, etc.
But first I need to say that what's happening is Not Okay, Not Constitutional, and Not Normal.
