I usually have such a hard time getting rid of food at work, but I put out a pack of nearly full Oreos in the break room and gone in less than 4 hours. Cake? Most everyone hates care but gone (tbh, it was fancy earl grey cake and the best cake Ive ever put down my throat)

Now our tcg department is so femme driven (and even our resident gay guy catches it too) that it’s swatting flies and we’ve trained chat to help stand up for us. It’s validating in a way.
and she would confirm that it’s a regular occurrence for her too. Like, people would call in to our cs line asking questions about me and saying concerning stuff and they realized they needed to implement harassment procedures.
When I started at my company, I was the only femme streaming and my bosses had a difficult time trying to figure out how to protect me and standardize how to handle harassment. Another woman (who worked back end before I started) was streaming and they’d ask her when Id bring it up
They’ve verbalized how appalling it is on how often they have to witness and feel like they have to step in, and they’ve even coined the phrase “oh, to be a woman on the Internet” after I’ve said it so much.
It’s nice when you don’t have to plead and tell someone to believe you that it happens.
There’s moments when you can see someone observing and their humanity kicks in. My favorite example is when we get the sexual harassment trolls in: our regular guests are usually middle aged family guys who watch our streams like it’s the Dow Jones instead of Twitch.
