In fairness to Dykes though, and Stansfield, they were made look shit because Torp and Eccles were absolutely bossing it. (Is that a word?)

Heskey was a far, far better player. Coaches loved hom cos he could play according to their plans and not br a glory seeker. Dykes nowhere near his league.
One of the first games I took my kids to was at QPR. Dykes came on a sub and - I think - scored two or certainly was involved in them. I think that's the type of player he is - a decent plan B player when you need to change tactics after 60m.
There certainly have been times over the past few years when I'd have welcomed Ryan Alsop back but Rushworth has been great in the last two games.
On That Cov Pod, they call it an orange which is a good description
He thought the officials were unfair towards #BCFC but the ref missed the chance to play a clear advantage following the foul that led to Robinson's first yellow and Tats was wrongly given offside when #pusb had a good opening. So they could have been 3 down before the red.
Though I would argue much of it is still true today, particularly the way a case can utterly destroy all involved.
Laura literally not dropping the dead donkey.

Wasn't that Dickens' point? That the legal profession was so distant from ordinary people that it even spoke a weird language that no one else could understand?
I imagine he will get mocked for it but I felt it was the first really human detail he's revealed about himself since the election
Funny to me that I have a considerably more embittered response to this than *any* Liverpool fan I follow. The yellow card for taking off your shirt in a celebration is stupid, was introduced for bad reasons, is joyless, anti-football, and Ekitike did nothing wrong.

Disappointed to see The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin didn't make it
#totp rather underrated track from the Pulp catalogue imho
Good cover
No, when I hear C La Vie, a small ray od happiness stirs in cold old heart
#totp BANGER!
#totp and then there's Stuart Pearce in the background making this even weirder
Watching Top of the Pops 1998 and realise I never knew that Echo & the Bunnymen did a world cup song with the Spice Girls. Am I going to wake up and find it's been a weird fever dream? #totp
#totp I cannot believe that Echo & the Bunnymen did a world cup song and I have no memory of it
Quite a few nations in different sports might adopt that
Probably not. Beating Netherlands in 78, scoring first against Brazil in 82?
And a bad World Cup for Scotland too
#totp has there ever been a sports song with such low expectations?
I can't recall any of them either and I'd just left Brighton
You can't choose your family but you can... no, actually, you don't choose your friends either
Saw her last night in Kingston. Really surprised what an emotional punch she can pack.
