I'm watching Fackham Hall.
I know it is going for slapstick, irreverent, Mel Brooks-style humor, but it is just consistently a half a beat off.
roomba, replicator, and transport beam tech. anything in the dust bin gets beamed to the replicator’s matter store.
Carpet is noise abatement, so it does make sense in a densely populated, low cubic environment, and they’re not wet navy ships, so you’re not worried a hatch won’t get battened down.
I've got a book coming out 3/17: A performer on a beloved children's program gets roped into fake dating a bad boy former football star. Things get messy when she meets his older half-sister, a makeup artist from LA who's home in NY to wait by their father's death bed.

In the 80s, we lived in fear of World War III
Pop culture was steeped in Nuclear Annihilation: War Games, The Day After, Threads, even Nena's 99 Luftballons
It sucks to feel those feelings again. It sucks, sucks, sucks

Below are two images side by side: the Costco Wholesale logo and a photo of Donald Trump looking at a phone while reporters hold microphones near him.
This is what all big companies should be doing.
'my little dog doesn't bite', 'my son's a good boy', this stew's fresh', 'I'll give you the money back the day after tomorrow at the latest', 'he was only getting something out of my eye', 'the good of the fatherland comes before everything', and 'just answer a few questions and you're free to go'.

In the coming decade, there is going to be an increased interest in performing arts (live) as a counter to the increased use of AI and computers in film and tv and music.
There will be free (donation based) theater in the parks and expensive in-house tix to pay live performers.
I sent my mom a text an hour ago, and just a few minutes ago. She still hasn't responded yet -- which means she is either still sleeping or got a big jump on the day (saw my text and kept moving on other things).
I won't know until I get there if she even knows the time has changed.
This has always been a problem of elite radicalization.
Seeing the aggregated approval rates, then the individual breakdowns, I do wonder who the Trafalgar Group is. Why do they have such different numbers than everyone else?

I need to conduct a short interview with a licensed clinical mental health counselor regarding the nature of the profession. Any takers?
** By "real", I mean that they aren't human.
As businesses adjust to using AI, they should remember that humans still need to be the subject matter experts -- this requires education, training, and experience.
In three years (I just made that up), businesses are going to start seeing that they were mistaken that AI will reduce the workforce.
Laws around chatbot companions are needed to make sure that humans remember that AI is not real.
Laws around human output review is needed -- and requires humans have expertise on the relevant subject matter -- to ensure accuracy and the the end result is ethical.
My AI thought of the week is that it has its place, when used in a limited, human controlled way. Think about the Star Trek computer:
Each action it takes starts with a human saying, "Computer [gives instructions]", the computer acts as instructed, and the human evaluates and adjusts the results.

President Obama says Rev. Jesse Jackson's presidential campaigns were a huge reason that "two decades later, a young Black senator from Chicago's South Side would even be taken seriously as a candidate for the presidential nomination."

Watermelon is a good fruit for smoothies. Lots of moisture and mild sweet flavor.
And I am not normally a fan of watermelon.
Voted!
I love going to vote early. No line. I know the people who are running it know what they are doing since they've been doing it a few days.
