Two and a garlic hours in, you sound great! I had to look it up because I was almost sure they got the OG VA back to reprise her role, you sound so much like her!

(minor nitpicks) I'm struggling with the controls because my muscle memory and old strats don't agree with the new Camera Obscura lol Not a fan of having to keep the button held down to keep the camera up.
Also, boo, they put in the awful ghost-grabby-while-reaching-for-items mechanic. ๐ก
About 2.5 hours in to the Fatal Frame 2 Remake and my impressions are overall positive. Looks/sounds great, gameplay is just different enough to be exciting, and you can hold Mayu's hand (excellent).
HOWEVER... โฌ๏ธ
1. Attacks on LGBTQ+ people have always been tied with the erosion of democracy.
Now, a bill has just been passed in Florida that lets DeSantis remove elected officials for promoting pride/LGBTQ+ people in their official capacity.
No court hearing necessary.

Happy Fatal Frame 2 Remake day to all who celebrate! Between Resident Evil and Silent Hill, I was a SH fan. But my forever favorite horror game has been Fatal Frame 2 โค๏ธ๐ฆ
Dipper, a white cat, lying on his back on a light green blanket. His tail is curled against his hip, front paws curled against his chest, and his back legs stretched out to next week. He's mid yawn, showing his little fangs and tongue.
Closeup of the yawn from the previous picture
Same as the first picture but Dipper is making a weird post yawn snarl face with all his teeth on display
Closeup of Dipper's bizarre sleepy snarl
While trying to take pictures showing how long he is, I captured some beautiful Dipper faces. Such a handsome boy. ๐
Update: the missing squares have been located! They were behind Coco's recovery kennel, in the closet, under all my towels. ๐
The cutest culprits. Mabel and Dipper, two white cats, lounging on a crochet blanket.
Chaos last night. Mabel got into the closet and started knocking down clothes hangers at 11 pm. I kicked the cats out and wedged my door shut. Dipper found his lack of access to Coco unacceptable and he body-slammed the door open at 3 am.
It's okay, I didn't need sleep anyway. ๐
Yeah blankets are way more work than I thought they'd be lol it'll be awhile until I try another one!
The vote is in, the #WALeg House has voted 51-46 to pass the Millionaires Tax!!!!
Coco, a chocolate lab dachshund mix, and Dipper, a white cat, in a black wire dog kennel. They're snuggled up butt to butt in a fluffy dog bed. Dipper is on his back, looking at the camera, and Coco is curled in a ball fast asleep.
Same as before but Dipper is also asleep now.
This is the reason I leave Coco's kennel door open even though she's still on crate rest - snuggle buddy time with her kitten. Also she's so sedated she doesn't run off when she hears the door lol
A lined notebook page with notes on the crochet blankets in making for my nieces. The end has the two types of squares I'm missing with frustrated question marks and wtf scribbled next to them.
Six pages of plans and notes. Months of crochet. Carefully counting and recounting. Blocking. Granny squares in bags for each stage of the process.
And somehow I still managed to (lose? miscount?) by eight granny squares. ๐ก Time to dig through the piles to see if I just misplaced them or what.
I'm glad Coco has Dipper to keep her company while she's recovering, but I can't stop thinking about how the vet said sometimes it's necessary to sedate other animals in the house as well to keep the patient calm... ๐๐๐
Coco, a chocolate lab dachshund mix, and Dipper, a white cat with yellow eyes, sitting in a black wire dog kennel together. They are not looking suspicious at all. No shadowy underground movements being planned right before my very eyes, definitely not.
They're definitely innocent and not at all planning something untoward.
A low to the ground shot of lots of growing garlic.
Bare dirt split into three raised rows and one big flat section.
Coco, a chocolate lab dachshund mix wearing a yellow sunflower collar, holding an orange ball in her mouth and looking off to the left.
The good: my garlic is EXPLODING. I've got the other side ready for stagger-planting beets and carrots. Coco is feeling well enough to ask for Ball.
The bad: I didn't buy the right hose. I can't afford onion starts. Coco still has a little while longer on crate rest.
Twenty multicolored granny squares pinned to cardboard to straighten and stretch them out in a technique called blocking. They're sitting on top of a black wire dog crate with a fluffy bed inside. Hiding in the shadows is Coco, a chocolate lab dachshund mix. She doesn't mind her crate doing double duty.
Once these squares are dry, I'll have one more round of blocking and then I can start assembly on the girl's blankets!

Happy International Women's Day to the original International Woman
My physiologist wanted me to strengthen my back muscles, but I don't think lifting my 40 pound dog up and down stairs and on and off the bed multiple times a day was what he had in mind ๐
Me but counting stitches. "68, 69 - nice - 70..." ๐
A crochet amigurumi dragon, pattern by Stringy Ding Ding. The yarn is a subtle brown ombre in the body and legs. The horns and spikes and wings are brown with tinsel.
Same dragon, but a closeup of the face
A top down view of the dragon
The dragon sitting next to Zadie, a tan chihuahua min pin mix. The dragon is as long as the dog.
A dragon! The horns and wings and spikes have glittery tinsel in the yarn that's not showing up in pics.
What I learned: as with sewing, I can stitch like nobody's business, but lining things up and measuring and fiddly bits are a struggle.
I'll add that to Coco's treatment plan ASAP lol
My foster kitten Leela, a three month old tabby with one eye. She's sitting pretty and smiling at the camera.
Fostering sick kittens has given me the experience needed to manage the complicated med schedule we've got going on right now ๐
The scene: Coco, a chocolate lab dachshund mix, in her black wire kennel. She's on crate rest for an injury. Her siblings Mabel and Dipper, two white cats, are curious about the new addition to the bedroom. Coco is in her fluffy bed in the crate. Dipper is on top of the crate. Mabel is beside the crate.
This time, Mabel has moved to the other side of the crate. She's contemplating jumping to the top to join Dipper. The other two are watching her.
A closeup of Coco in the crate, looking up at the cats on top. The light is hitting her face in an angelic way
All three animals posing like a dang Renaissance painting. Coco is looking off to the right stoically. Dipper is facing the camera with lidded eyes. Mabel is a striking figure, posing boldly with her neck stretched toward the left
A Morning Tableau
I couldn't pick my favorite so you're getting the full editorial spread lol
Also the lighting on Coco in Pic 3 is *chef's kiss*
Dipper, a white cat, laying on the floor outside a black wire kennel. Coco, a chocolate lab dachshund mix, is in the kennel on her fluffy bed, resting her head near Dipper.
Same composition but Dipper is on his back with his nose stretched toward Coco
Dipper has made it his mission to keep Coco company while she's on crate rest. ๐ฅน
Coco is being a trooper through all this. The pups aren't crate trained - there was never a reason - but now Coco is on strict rest. She was a little nervous but she went right in without a fuss. And she waits for me to carry her down the stairs to go potty, no complaining.
Best pup for real ๐ญ
Got more lab results for Coco. Spondylitis, degeneration, spinal lesion. All mild for now. We're going to keep going with pain meds and rest and then recheck. If it comes back after we wean her off the meds, we might need advanced imaging to figure out a more specific treatment plan.
She's feeling much better, but she's not out of danger yet. Taking things slow (as much as you can with a dog made entirely of espresso) lol
Coco is doing MUCH better today! Her back legs are still a little unsteady, but she's not nearly in as much pain. I'm finally having to keep a close eye on her so she doesn't run and jump like a caffeinated squirrel instead of her restraining herself like she has been the last few days. ๐
We got a second dog bed so Coco could sleep in my room while she recovers without having to jump on the bed. My poor pup.
Not gonna lie, I'm struggling. My old pup Berkley had a minor wound that progressed in unexpected ways until it killed him. That traumatized me. I'm really struggling to take care of myself while caring for my sick girl.
