Trump administration plans to end Energy Star program for home appliances
Since 1992, the popular Energy Star program has helped American families and businesses save more than $500 billion in energy costs.
Dumb and disappointing. During an all-hands meeting on Monday of the EPAβs Office of Atmospheric Protection, Trump administration officials announced that the office would be dissolved and that Energy Star would be eliminated

Trumpβs first 100 days have been the most consequential of any president this century & perhaps since FDR. Trump is leading a revolutionary project that aspires to remake the economy, the bureaucracy, culture & foreign policy, even the idea of America itself. www.economist.com/leaders/2025...

Americaβs presidency is often called the hardest job in the world. Yet Trump has found time to moonlight as a prolific social-media influencer. Since January 20th he has churned out 4,149 words a week on Truth Social and X, nearly a newspaper op-ed daily.

Who will stop Donald Trumpβs drive for unchecked power?
Congress is inert, but a deft Supreme Court might contain him
Given our current Supreme Court, it is frightening to think they are the last chance to contain Trump. I hope they grow a stiff spine.

Trump is trying to fiddle with economic data & removing the independence of the Fed. A case is making its way through the courts could make it easier for Trump to do the latter. Bad timing for a cloud to sit over the institution responsible for fighting inflation.

If weβre heading into a recession β it wasnβt by accident. This isnβt a crisis he inherited. Itβs a wreck he engineered, with a sledgehammer he swung. Willfully. Recklessly. Alone. For the first time, an American president chose to break the economy.

Of course, it would be in #SanFrancisco! #Psychedelics are having a moment in both research and medicine and how appropriate that the first college undergraduate degree is in San Francisco.

I loved watching RepSteven Horsford (D-Nevada) grill Jamieson Greer, Trump's Trade Representative, about trade tariffs. He was boldly speaking truth to power. You don't have the S&P 500 surge 8.5% in 34 minutes every day. It does make one wonder about market manipulation.

Have you ever thought about where most pharmaceuticals are manufactured? The majority come from #China & India. Trump says he will soon announce "major" tariffs on imported pharmaceuticals, ending decades of low-cost global trade in medicines. How is that helping you?

A new, sweeping round of tariffs shocked Wall Street on Thursday, as upended economic forecasts & intensified worries about global growth sent stock markets tumbling to their worst day since the height of the coronavirus pandemic. The S&P 500 fell almost 5% its worst showing since June 2020.
