Writing Tip:
I like to pull out my WIP and read my notes BEFORE I take a shower, work out, clean, take the dog on a walk, etc.
I can think about my WIP while I'm doing other tasks, and when I'm done, I can type out everything I'd already "written" in my head.

It is true: many things were indeed invented in early modernity! It is also true that many things were only “invented” in early modernity because modern historians don’t like reading Latin or Arabic or Greek.
Medieval scribes used a number of different methods to correct mistakes and omissions. This one used the figure of a man pulling the omitted portion of the text towards the place it belonged - 1st half of the 15th century, Brit. Lib, Arundel 38, f. 65r
