I was wondering why I was not out on the streets protesting Citizens United SCotUS decision. Oh, January 21, 2010. I was figuring out how to get to Haiti after their catastrophic earthquake. Focus was on Haiti in NYC. Sixteen years later: Haiti has all but collapsed; and so has the the USA.

Antonio was very pleased that he was healthy, he told me last year his doctor told him every part of him was in good shape. He was healthy, and good, and then pneumonia got hold of him, the old man's friend. Yesterday the Archangel Michael took him away. God bless Antonio's family, and Puerto Rico.

As a dual citizen of UK and USA, I object to US bombers taking off from UK bases in order to massacre Iran. I am puzzled that the Russian asset masquerading behind orange makeup is mad at Iran, not that I have ever understood how the Russian dictator's mind works.

I decide when I finish reading a book: would I recommend it? If not, it goes in the recycle bin. When I die and my kids go through my books, I want them to know I want them to read them all, or at least donate them with a cash gift to a library run by professional librarians.

Oh wow. I remember thinking that election spending was obscene before 2010; until I saw this graph, I really had not understood the power of Citizens United and their puppets in SCotUS.

Yes indeed. I watched the miniseries on PBS when it came out; I read his two books on WW2 over Christmas. He was a pacifist; the best sort of war historians.

I knew two people whose lives were seriously impacted by torpedoes blowing up hospital ships, and killing loved ones. Both had medical training afterwards. One was my mother's best friend; the other was my PhD advisor. I suggest reading Herman Wouk's books on WW2 to understand submarine warfare.
