like I've been reading 3rd voice and at first I was like "gee this artist really likes drawing teeth!" until I realised that the reason so many panels focused in on mouths or teeth for certain characters is likely just because it feels palpably threatening to focus in on someone's mouth alone

i feel like that whole stereotype only really applies to artists who don't play with composition that much, when you feel the need to do something in order to convey a feeling it kinda overwrites what you'd prefer to do and forces you out of your comfort zone

it depends though, it's very feasible to make a story that takes place in a very idyllic world but that still has normal relatable problems on a smaller scale if you choose to focus in on those and don't make the scope of the story/stories you're telling with that world too big
