My lifetime goes back to JFK, and this goes for all of the R presidents in my life also (add Nixon, Ford, Reagan, GHWB). Except Ford. Economy was shit, but he didn’t start any new wars. I’m counting expansion of the Vietnam War into Laos and Cambodia for Nixon.

I get periodic flashbacks these days from having read Stand on Zanzibar and The Sheep Look Up by John Brunner when I was in my Teens in the 1970’s. Probably need to go back and re-read them now.

April 29th is 60 days from the start of this war. Per the War Powers Act Trump will have 30 days from that date to wind things down, unless he can get Congress to pass an AUMF. I’m suggesting that many Christians who support Israel may be doing so for very different reasons than Jews who support Israel (actual Zionists). And unsurprisingly, those reasons may have very little to do with the actual best interests of Jewish people.

Only under the most expansive definition of Zionism. No huge shock to me that an extreme Christianist millennialist who supports the Zionist movement from the US would turn out to actually hate Jews.
