you feel the ridges along your bones through collagen bumps under your skin, minuscule reminders of who your artificial limbs belong to. a small buzz of your smartwatch informs you of the time, so you lean into your rifle and peer through the scope to find your target, right where your contact said she'd be. as the bullet pierces her throat you recognize the brand of fluid they used for her blood, and smile. the same mothers owned your flesh. you're thankful. it wasn't long, but you got to be there for her in the end. she felt you briefly, then finally, nothing at all. it's all the love you could give to a sister.

it is now 11:30pm on the 8th of march in france as i type this and all but two of the memes i've seen posted in support of women's rights have mainly featured men

she knows what he said was transphobic. she knew he was being transphobic and said nothing. and even with him gone she couldn't bring herself to call that shit what it is.

and i'm like oh y'know mostly okay despite the transphobia and she immediately goes "oh you know that's just him he's just like that you know i don't mind what anybody does" and it's just really funny because she knows.

i'm in a small rural village so it's a bit of a social gathering place and the pizza girl knows everybody so we're chatting and one guy went on The Transmisogynystic Rant About Sports (you know the one) and so when he left pizza girl turns to me and asks how i'm doing
