The Call for Papers for the 2026 SHA meeting in Atlanta is now open. We encourage scholars at all career stages to build on these conversations and submit proposals for panels, roundtables, or individual papers. Find out more at shorturl.at/4hLTg

LACS–SHA also hosted eight panels over the course of the meeting, featuring new research and lively conversations across Latin American, Caribbean, borderlands, and Atlantic World history.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Bianca Premo, Distinguished University Professor of History at FIU, delivered an incredible lecture, “Ethical Lessons about the Present from an Abused Child in Latin America’s Past.”
