I wish we had this in the UK.
I wish we had this in the UK.
Every year, millions of tonnes of perfectly fixable products end up as waste, because repair is too expensive or too complicated.
I'm wondering if we can find the time to go this weekend, I love cherry blossom.
Is that now?
I think a continuous news cycle and social media makes it a lot worse.

βThisβ is Trump, Ukraine, Covid, Brexit, climate change and much else besides. βThisβ is something you feel as a sense of bewilderment, anxiety or anger or confusion or powerlessness.
So is it always like this?
I can only think it's a cunning plan to gain old Tory voters.
Personally, I don't use cash much and there are bigger problems.
Classified information has come to light on the US Iran strategyβ¦.

Please dear followers do fill this in. Most important points IMO: BBC is ambitious+capable but can do nothing without proper funding; World Service to be funded by govt; BBC needs a permanent Charter; no more party political appointees to its board; political independence.
β° The Government consultation on the future of the BBC closes at midnight tonight, so do have your say.
It takes about 40 minutes to respond, but you don't need to answer every question, you can skip the open ended questions if you want.

Democracy in America was no weaker than anywhere else. What has failed, & on nearly every level, are the consequences for rule-breaking.
Rules are there for a reason, & there will always be some who ignore them. (We wouldn't need them if everyone behaved.) They are nothing without sanctions.
The Americans are starting to look in the mirror and say βthis is on us- we allowed thisβ.
Us Brits need to look in the mirror and be just as honest about our specific, cruel, stupid self-defeating prejudices:

Honest to fuck media types, do you think you could stop bothering with the βhmm Trump said green is purple but strangely it looks like it might actually be green. However are we to interpret this anomaly?β shit.
Oh look, we're prosecuting some heinous individual for murder & torture in Syria 15 years ago....take note Trump & anyone else who thinks they can escape justice

So predictable. While Trump and Hegseth posture, millions around world have their lives turned upside down by their cavalier, ill-thought-through attack on Iran, whose regime clings on, and people suffer. Everyone suffers from the devastating consequences, except the immoral morons who launched it.
I wonder.where insurance companies would stand with this.
If you feel powerless watching war, political chaos, and an economy that feels unbearable, remember the significance of Senecaβs reminder: sometimes simply continuing to live with dignity matters. Being alive, offering kindness, and giving grace to others is its own quiet form of resistance.
We have the best plugs.
If you can look past the βare you being servedβ sniggering about the shipment choices (surely deliberate to distract the feeble-minded), this is a terrorist attack by Russia on us, with the goal of destroying freight aircraft in flight. We must respond appropriately
Stay strong Keir.
The country is behind you.

Right on schedule, Trump and MAGA will use Europe's position on Iran to further undermine NATO, or possibly remove the US entirely from it.
With Russia in spiralling decline due to Ukraine/EU aid, and with the US now bogged down in Iran, the only winners here are China.

Trump needs to learn some history.
Photo from the early 1970s of a man on horseback negotiating the Birmingham inner ring road at Holloway Head
Iβm searching for the original and/or rights owner of this fabulous picture of Birmingham in the early 1970s. It popped up on my Instagram feed, but Iβve been unable to track it down.
Any leads? Iβm really hoping to use it in a book.
(And would much appreciate a RT please)
