Which tools do you use in the Mac Minis? Openclaw or other alternatives? Which model?

For most websites and apps, it can be better to be similar. Users know how everything looks and works, no new or confusing patterns, easier to understand and use. I think only designers get mad at this.

Would be nice if links where not to X. At least not all of them. Many people (including most of us at Bluesky) want to avoid that platform as much as possible.

Google Flow for example, you can ask for changes with prompts and also pointing certain areas in the image. But one by one, not in bulk...

As every purchase, depends on the price. And SaaS stock prices have gone down, apparently due to the AI threat (easier copycats, bizs building their tools...). So it has changed something for sure, but it's not like they suddenly don't have any value.

I think some employees are lying to avoid being replaced by AI or just because they hate it (like most people in Bluesky apparently). There are thousands of ways to use AI. It's almost impossible to not find at least a couple of tasks where it saves you a few minutes.

Being good at using AI agents is a better moat than working hard.

Are Skills used on non-coding tools? If the answer is no, I guess most people will still need/want MCP (or a similar solution). We are not all programmers! 😉

I think open source tools + some AI custom code for personalization will be the best option for many tasks. Best balance for cost, customization, risks, maintenance...

Except now the interns are all PhD, know much more than you about many topics and work 100x faster than any human. If you cant find at least a couple of tasks where this is useful, you are the problem, not AI.

Change the custom instructions, that should solve it

I've never liked Gemini DR, it keeps giving super long reports with a lot of unecessary context, even if I ask for only a list. ChatGPT DR is better IMHO. Manus is interesting sometimes. I guess they still make a difference when you want them to check 50 sources instead of 10.

They might discovered it with SEO tools (ahrefs, etc.) not on X. In competitive markets basically everything gets copied sooner or later.

Isn't that dangerous? Shouldn't there be more controls before releasing powerful open models?

As AIs get smarter & more useful, our benchmarks become less useful. Measuring general knowledge or coding ability gives us only a glimpse into what an AI model can do.

If things get very extreme (AGI does everything and there are no jobs for most people), I guess the AI owners will have to share the wealth or face a violent revolution. Other option is that open source AI gets good enough that there are no monopolies.

You actually didn't. Customers could not care less if you are using that exact color in all your social media posts for example, only branding professionals with OCD care. Also, it's easy to apply your desired HEX color with AI, so if you take this color thing literally it doesn't make sense either.

This is a metaphor, it's not about colors or branding. It's about doing things manually to get the exact thing you want vs. doing it with AI and get a good enough result in 10x less time.

For most things, it doesnt really matter if you have the exact color you want or a similar one that looks decent. It's just wasting time in not important details. Same with apps and other stuff. As long as they work, you should probably use the most efficient tool (AI most of the time) and move on.

Cant read the whole thing with the paywall, but he always seems to assume that all this huge companies are only trying to advance AI in one direction (make bigger LLM models) and zero resources to other options. I dont have data (please share if you do), but i'm certain that this premise is false.

In 5 years basic AI will be almost free (it is already with open source models, especiallly smaller ones). No idea what frontier AI will be, maybe we will have AGI and most traditional SaaS will be dead.

Cost of AI APIs are falling sharply (something like 100x in 1-2 years) and most of these features dont even need the most intelligent/expensive models. Unless nobody pays for AI plans or many complain about AI features, I think is unlikely that most providers remove them.
