Ward 3 meeting starting now!

Nope! (That requires a constitutional change!) but I do promise to really use the office to get things done!
Oh no!!!
Tonight at 6!
But this time, youβll vote for your favorite City Councilor-now LG candidate? π
I would love to come chat with you & your neighbors & friends! Shoot us a note at Sue@sueanderbois.com & we will get it scheduled!
One of my favorite parts of this campaign is getting to talk with RIers across the state in their living rooms and hear their questions, concerns & big ideas! Such a joy to talk to the R.I. branch of the Garden Club of America!
Thank you Professor Trandafir for inviting me to talk with your Renewable Energy Economics at URI about state and city government and policymaking!
Great questions that ranged well beyond just renewable energy into why itβs so important for & how young folks can get involved in government!
Also itβs a real mood to have the shorter day be International Womenβs Day!
So inspired after last nightβs Extraordinary Women Awards Gala! Congratulations to the honorees & so lovely to see other extraordinary women including Sandra Cano & Shelley Peterson for Ward 14!
The amazing folks at Ceremony have been in coordination with βReddit Johnβ, who was so instrumental in identifying the Brown shooter & he has agreed to a GoFundMe to receive support.
Letβs take care of him to thank him for coming forward & taking care of us.

This is such a good explainer about how we pay for our power. Cutting efficiency incentives is exactly the wrong thing to do.
Happy International Womenβs Day - letβs celebrate the amazing achievements of women while also continuing the fight for our rights.
Donβt forget - Ward 3 community meeting this Wednesday at 6pm!
Update on building design standards, new trash receptacles, and the school board. Special guests Bob Azar, Kevin Proft & Corey Jones!

Thank you Rep Spears for a great Tea with Tina conversation this morning on coastal resilience & your proposed bond!
Solving big problems comprehensively - especially those dealing with emergency preparedness & management - is exactly what I will be focused on as our next Lt Governor!
Lieutenant governor candidate @sueanderbois.bsky.social receives endorsements from former state Rep. @aaronregunberg.bsky.social, former PVD City Councilwoman Helen Anthony, and City Council members

βI am so grateful and proud to have the support of my amazing friends and colleagues, Aaron Regunberg, Helen Anthony, Miguel Sanchez, and Justin Roias...It is an honor these leaders, and so many more across the state, stand with me in this fight.β

At the Automatic Expungement legislative kick-off in Pawtucket with DARE President (& Ward 3er!) Marcus Mitchell. Inspiring speakers and attendees & ended with a performance from the Extraordinary Rendition Band.
Hello? Anybody home?
Climate "hushing" and avoidance has allowed Trump and the fossil industry to destroy decades of effort.
Where is the climate movement? Where are the Democratic politicians?
Vast majorities are concerned about climate change.

Thank you to Paul for welcoming me to your home to talk about our big ideas and plans for this State β and for introducing me to my new best buddy Charlie who sat in my lap for most of the evening!
Come join our March Ward 3 PVD meeting, where we will be joined by staff from Planning & Sustainability. And as always - plenty of time for Q&A!
Thank you to the folks who suggested a zoom meeting, given the weather and cold/flu season! Happy to gather in any ways that feel convenient & safe!
Our fundraiser in support of Open Doors RI in partnership with Providence City Councilor Jill Davidson has raised over $30k in honor of βReddit Johnβ
βProvidence residents have been wanting to thank John for his courage in a meaningful way,β added Ward 3βs Sue AnderBois. βEspecially during this frigid cold snap, this is a way to honor John and also directly help our unhoused neighbors.β

No one wants me to sing, but I 100% support this.
I'm begging my fellow politicians, Illinoisans, and Americans to realize that right now, we aren't fighting over policy or political party.
We're fighting over whether we're going to be a country rooted in empathy and kindness β or one rooted in cruelty and rage.

Iβll find out but I think itβs a bandwidth issue. There are only so many tows & vehicles that can do rescues available β and over the last week there have been so so many folks trying to drive in this and getting stuck and needing rescue.
Folks are still being ticketed and towed
The Mayorβs team put together this storm response FAQ that is being updated to answer questions like where you can get overflow trash bags, etc. check it out!
