Some suggestions for other medieval weapons are greatly appreciated, I'm trying to model some more in my free time for practice.
Dont know if this one will be added to revisited, I definitely need some practice on the art side of things which I'd like to get down rather than spamming the mod with constant updates that are half baked/I'm not satisfied with.
Ive been working a bit on my 3d modeling, Planned to texture today but wanted to get the model right in game first. At first I wanted to make the weapon an armguard but I ran into some technical challenges that I havent managed to fix yet. If I can fix it I might make the hand version into smth else

Thats odd, in my copy the only way there is through the opened gate that you have as well. Maybe every copy is personalized because everyone keeps telling me the gate isn't open for them.

As always, back up vanilla game files before running early releases of programs like this if you feel so inclined <3 I havent experienced issues myself through extensive testing but who knows, software development can be tricky when it comes to releasing to users.

The barebones functionality is pretty much finished already, but I also wanna add some other features like saving a mod collection, launching the game through rpcs3 automatically and maybe some kind of save storage since 4 slots for me is never enough.
If I share a shitty side project people will expect me to finish it. I dont wanna disappoint people if I dont finish it so I kinda dont wanna share it. Maybe sharing it creates enough pressure so that I do finish it. Quite the conundrum I've found myself in.

This might be greedy but surely theres a way to animate attacks so both large katanas and large curves swords look natural/fitting. Ive been using the same kind of greed to see if I can justify colossal weapons (giant axes/hammers types) with the existing giant sword animations.
I thought about making a moveset that could fit for larger, but nimble swords. Curved greatsword are a fun weapon type that is missing. I would probably more the large sword of searching, if I ever do make this I really hope no one will be upset at me changing that weapon tho ahaha.
I could hypothetically add 2 weapon classes to Demon's Souls, problem being, I'm having a really hard time deciding which. I kinda have to add scythes, because as much as I considered reworking the halberd moveset I think I'd rather have the 2 be separate, but I'm wondering what else I would add.
Oh yeah, I've found a couple of cases where trying ds1 tutorials will leave me with a "fuck this tool dont exist for des" so its more of a hypothetical for what is possible. Theres not always a workaround but often enough theres at least a plan B. Plan C I guess would just be blue / red summon signs
Id talk to her quite some time ago about the possibility and I recall her saying you can at the very least edit the textures of visual effects and color if I recall, but its been quite a while since then. Figuring something out shouldnt be too hard if I simply cross reference ds1 tutorials
Thought about it a bit more. if I can figure out how to edit vfx I could make a white and black message that are always the same "the world is too dark/light" message, since you wont have to open those each time anyway. Might use summons/invasion signs as placeholders when trying this approach out.
