Yep, not sure why so many machines have it off by default. Ran into that the other day working on a PC that survived a fire and had sat for a little bit. Was just trying to get everything up to date lol

in video games and get flamed for not being able to tell where enemies are. I have to face people and partially lip read to be able to understand what people are saying. I have to downmix most audio to mono which makes it sound like ass. It's been almost a decade of this now, I miss proper hearing.
Something people don't necessarily understand is how brutal being deaf in only one ear is. I can still hear most things, but I have no sense of directionality (can't identify traffic by sound). Things I hear on speakers sound like something is happening in my apartment. I'm at a disadvantage 1/2
Took a first stab at iMac repair recently, never again. I didn't run into any issues replacing the HDD with an SSD, but dear god I hated pulling the screen and putting it back on, just give me something simple enough to fix. I have bigass unsteady hands, I'm not built for Apple repair.
