LRT I am a massive Romantasy defender not just because it is propping up a lot of publishing right now, but more importantly because it's a genre I've been waiting for my whole life! As a kid I always wanted to get into mainstream fantasy, but it was just so light on romance!

The main problem is that this undermines their argument that public services are worth the investment, for everyone. A robust social safety net requires the willing participation of everyone, so when Dems focus on cutting taxes rather than USING THEM WELL, they're just Republican-lite.
