It’s a solid dart throw. He’s got so much skill, skates well enough for his size, but just doesn’t use his size well enough and doesn’t have a high defensive awareness
Writing was on the wall after Shine replaced him in the lineup and then the acquisition of Perron pretty much sealed this. Sad to see him go but just couldn’t consistently deliver a 200-foot game

He’s got a ton of skill at that size, just doesn’t have the rest of the game consistently to stay out there. Some games you’ll notice him every shift, some games you won’t even notice he was in the lineup

Yeah I don’t pay enough attention to the local beats to paint a broad brush but I’ve certainly seen some do this
Yeah and I feel strongly that the leak likely came from the organization…not the player or agent
“hey will you tweet out that we won’t trade this player unless we get everything we demand - thanks”
Maybe I have the wrong read on this but just feels awkward seeing these folks allowing themselves to be used as mouthpieces for organizations all for the sake of “breaking news”
IMO this is an example of a front office asking a media member to communicate a message to a larger audience. There’s no news here, nothing of substance, just the NYR front office using a media member to exert influence
Thinking more about this, i think some league-wide media members have gotten far too comfortable allowing themselves to be used as a mouthpiece for front offices to communicate messages league-wide
Perron’s a fine add and likely solidifies that bottom-six winger spot that Soderblom and Shine had been rotating through.
Hopefully it’s a sign of more to come later tonight/tomorrow.

Since Jan 1, Wings PP is 12/68 (17.6%), good for 25th in the league. If they aren’t going to score at 5v5, they HAVE to get the PP going again. I honestly think they lost some rhythm trying to get Kane the American-born points record
