Some tentatively good news on Dylan Larkin from Todd McLellan: travelling with the team, won't play but is taking things day-by-day.
Fingers crossed that Larkin avoided the worst. π€ #LGRW

never enough people utilizing the fart noise response
β¬οΈ ROSTER UPDATE: The Detroit Red Wings have called up Michael Brandsegg-Nygard from the Grand Rapids Griffins under emergency conditions.
Will we see MBN's heater continue with Detroit? β€΅οΈ #LGRW
yes he played 82 in 24-25
March and the Red Wingsβ¦a match made in hell once again
Delicious bottle. Almost finished mine
Cheers to the weekend folks we made it and the trade deadline wasnβt a nothing-burger.
Time to treat yourself to a nice pour
Thank-you to everyone that visited TheStanleyCap.com today. It was almost certainly our busiest day for traffic ever.

Thank you Steve
Oh wait I didnβt realize it was a new injury. Damn
I figured this would happen with him being a likely top-5 pick
Itβs a solid dart throw. Heβs got so much skill, skates well enough for his size, but just doesnβt use his size well enough and doesnβt have a high defensive awareness
Writing was on the wall after Shine replaced him in the lineup and then the acquisition of Perron pretty much sealed this. Sad to see him go but just couldnβt consistently deliver a 200-foot game
Elmer Soderblom from DET to PIT for a 2026 3rd
Heβs got a ton of skill at that size, just doesnβt have the rest of the game consistently to stay out there. Some games youβll notice him every shift, some games you wonβt even notice he was in the lineup
Ahead of the 3 pm Eastern trade deadline, I wrote whatβs been kicking around in my head this week about how itβs time for Steve Yzerman to make a splash

Big if true
Yeah I donβt pay enough attention to the local beats to paint a broad brush but Iβve certainly seen some do this
Yeah and I feel strongly that the leak likely came from the organizationβ¦not the player or agent
βhey will you tweet out that we wonβt trade this player unless we get everything we demand - thanksβ
Maybe I have the wrong read on this but just feels awkward seeing these folks allowing themselves to be used as mouthpieces for organizations all for the sake of βbreaking newsβ
IMO this is an example of a front office asking a media member to communicate a message to a larger audience. Thereβs no news here, nothing of substance, just the NYR front office using a media member to exert influence
Thinking more about this, i think some league-wide media members have gotten far too comfortable allowing themselves to be used as a mouthpiece for front offices to communicate messages league-wide
Perronβs a fine add and likely solidifies that bottom-six winger spot that Soderblom and Shine had been rotating through.
Hopefully itβs a sign of more to come later tonight/tomorrow.
My bet has been nothing happens
Fantastic piece from @seanshapiro.bsky.social about the βearlyβ reporting on some of these trades before players have made decisions on their NTC/NMCβs

Sports are bad
Since Jan 1, Wings PP is 12/68 (17.6%), good for 25th in the league. If they arenβt going to score at 5v5, they HAVE to get the PP going again. I honestly think they lost some rhythm trying to get Kane the American-born points record
