It absolutely is necessary to protect women. Transwomen (men) still retain male criminality patterns. It is safer to exclude them and provide them with their own accommodations.
Transwomen are men sexually. I agree that not all transwomen are predatory, however the measures put in place to provide a level of safety are still necessary to protect women from those who are predatory. There needs to be spaces specifically for the female sex.
