Ugh, missed it!
So special to have New Westminsterβs own JJ Lee,
join our book club today!
Released in 2012, Measure of a Man, is still one of my favourites.
Thanks to JJ for the discussion and sharing even more fabulous stories.
ITβS BACK! π₯°
On todayβs walk I bumped into Jeff putting up his 5 metre Ground Hog.
Why? To keep Ground Hog in Ground Hog Day!
Itβs located at Corner of Richmond and Alberta Streets (Sapperton) and especially stunning when the sun goes down!

Beautiful though!

Iβve had the chance to use transit in many places around the world and this is good. I do wish we had more buses, bus lanes, skytrains started earlier and extensions (UBC!) and some other wish list items but really appreciate the current systemππ½
Cold and wet out there folks but so glad for @translink.ca @movementyvr.bsky.social and all the great folks making it easy to get around. #postthegood
RIP Jimmy CliffπΆπ
How close are you?!!!
Purrfect!
In other news, I forgot to take my cat makeup off after the Halloween staff party so on the skytrain now just living my best life!
Have you filled out TransLink's survey on Bus Rapid Transit? The last day is Sunday.
Surveys like this are why Movement needs to exist.
You know that our region needs to change A LOT to make our streets safer, less congested, and less polluted. Buuut. . . 1/ movementyvr.ca/bby-heights-...
The ones in Japan are incredible! Iβm going to try the Sapperton one soon and will report back.
Anyone tried the new coffee/tea vending machine at Sapperton Station? Iβm curious! (Apologies for blurry photo, rushing to catch the train)
Getting there! March 1 to Sept 7
Wild Rice was fantastic! Andrew is still in New West and working as a Program Manager for a food services social enterprise called Danβs Diner. Itβs a jobs training program for at risk youth. Thereβs a takeout service and awesome catering. danslegacy.com
And he knows how to cook so Iβm guessing youβll hear from him sometime around Christmas.
Heβs living his best life!
3 years later and I still feel this π
Well, they have 1/2 a bridge but still super cool!
Sorry, I had to miss the last one but Iβll be back at it on Monday! Also, this free electric shuttle just went by while in Avignon! So many mobility options for pedestrians, cyclists and an amazing public transport network.
Yes, me too! I did see a few tourists park their bikes in the bike lane but quickly figured out that was not ok. There was bike parking on the street but less obvious/visible because of the trees.
