To the handful of people who are wondering if I have abandoned my quest
I ran into a combination of life, catching up with the new campaign of critical role, a period of not really listening to podcasts at all and the fact that this is the least exiting part of it all
His son Cassander is passed over for regent and is pissed, this might come up later

Antipater is elected as ruler instead of Perdiccas, Antipater is almost 80! at this point
Satrapsies are being given out again, some new, some the same as before
At the age of 81ish Antipater dies, because he is 81
But thankfully help from the other Satraps does come after some time and Antipater wins big time
But in Asia Perdiccas thinks he should be in charge of all of Alexanders realm, so Antipater et all rush of to meet him in battle
Welp, Perdiccas' army killed him before Antipater could get to him
strapped for resources he manages to keep the area despite revolts and civil wars
Alexander dies, Perdiccas is in charge and Antipater gets a shit load of land, same as before
All of Greece erupts and Antipater has basically no army so it's not good

To bad that the Greeks won't just sit still and be governed when the army is far away

The empire gets somewhat divided, Perdiccas is kind of in charge, but this one guy (we'll call him Mike) is still a pain and in charge of the infantry
Let's trick him with elephants
Afterwards, let's make sure that Alex's other wifes can't say that they are pregnant, by killing them
Cause that always turnes out great in the ancient world
Philip also had other sons
Cities are sieged, armies are split, chaos rules, all within days, all while Alexanders dead body just lies there, maybe alive, maybe not
Regardless, he gets inbalmed

Alexander is dead and no one knows what to do
Perdiccas has the signet ring, but there are other generals that also feel like having a lot of power
So one idea is seeing what kind of genitals Roxannes child will have and form a committee to rule

At some point his horse dies and that is sad, his boyfriend also dies and that is sad
He gets a spear through him, but that didn't kill him
which means that Alex becomes pharaoh and that title comes with a confirmation that he is the son of Zeus
He keeps conquering the known world, drinking and taking on Persian customs, meaning that he styles himself no longer first amongst equals, but supreme ruler of his empire
