Finally decided on which events to attend at World Fantasy Con in Brighton this week, but with much dithering and gnashing of teeth.
Anyway, very excited to see old friends and the great and the good of the horror publishing, editing and writing world from Thursday onwards.
Fabulous - it's been too long! xx

Need to get my act together as a writer as I've just booked my ticket for World Fantasy Con 2025 in Brighton.
Will be great to meet up with writers, old friends, publishers and artists in the horror realm. Who's going? Looking forward to the readings, panels and of course the awards too. Exciting!
Bliss
What a pile of bullshit. May he and Putin, and all their festering followers stagnate slowly on their own stinking breath until Mother Earth sends in the vultures to pick their bones clean. Poor, beautiful vultures - we thank you.
Excellent! I just need to sort my ticket out. I don't think they do day tickets so I'll be travelling in from Eastbourne each day.
Planning to go!
Feeling the strain of imposter syndrome, I decided to update my publishing history.
I'd forgotten how many horror stories of mine have been out there since 2009, and even a couple of love stories.
Definitely enough to go into Cabaret of Dread Vol II and about time I got the novels submitted too.
Ironically I'm in France so will miss it! But will catch up on iPlayer later.
Fantastic. That cheered up my entire family - love it!
@jamesbennett.bsky.social Hi James. Hope you, your students and friends are all okay during the power outtage. Looks like chaos in Spain and Portugal
Stunning, an exquisite colour. Have a lovely day.
Did you have any wine? All those grapes!
I know Starmer tries to be the ultimate diplomat when dealing with the idiot, but when his own supporters start questioning Labour's aims in this regard, surely he needs to be clearer and more supportive to UK residents. There will be many who fear he's a turncoat.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cv... What an idiotic thing to say. No surprise, obvs.
Never done this before but to get our Rimbaud project moving I've set up a little Go Fund Me to shoot a Proof of Concept...wish me luck please, I'm going to need it. It may be Awful April but every little helps...thanks !!!!

Excellent concept. Hope all goes well.
So sorry to hear this James x
Lovely to see @joannechocolat.bsky.social on Antiques Roadshow this evening. Always fascinating, often funny and truly inspiring.
Horrifyingly sad
Hopefully it'll be explicitely conditional that the US will forfeit any rights if they renege.
I'm English but my grandfather was Canadian and his great-grandparents were from Vermont. I have always loved this and have never been more proud of my connections than I am today. Needless to say, I wholeheartedly support and stand with brave, strong Ukraine.
Totally agree. It completely exemplifies the beauty in darkness. Exquisite.
Shocking, yet not, from the zombie-brained, orange, lump of flab. By the way, the vast majority of us in the UK despise the spindly prick. Zelensky is the truest hero ever.
Loved how Macron clearly pushed Trump's hand away when Trump squeezed his knee.
