Anyway, I think I'll have to revisit MAN ON FIRE in the coming months. It's a HEAVY tonal film, but it's like a damn gut punch. Honestly, just go watch a Tony Scott film, folks. He made a lot of great flicks!
My video on ENEMY OF THE STATE is nearing completion. I talk about what I feel made Tony Scott a good filmmaker in this, offering a lot of praise and tribute to him, and I think this final segment will be best edited under a fresher mind tomorrow night.

Remembering actor, musician, and photographer Anton Yelchin on his birthday. He won our hearts as Chekov in the three J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies and was gone much too soon. He would have turned 37 today.
Happy birthday! ππ»
Hitting YouTube tomorrow is our commentary for The Princess Bride in our Rob Reiner double feature tribute. Itβs currently available on Patreon for all $1+ Patrons!
I mean, "Would?" is favorite Alice in Chains song, but people could make a strong case for "Rooster" being the central track on that album, too.
My main media tower was bought back in like 2009 at Best Buy. Another from Fryβs Electronics in 2016. Probably canβt find them anymore.
Yeah, I don't see Denzel flippantly throwing that language around on screen. Spike Lee has definitely taken Tarantino to task on that language as well.
No. I don't recall tragedies like Def Leppard, scandals like Motley Crue, or big breaks up like Aerosmith or Guns N' Roses.
I did tell him it was set in Transylvania with magic abound and Christopher Lee expressly apologized to Joe Dante for ever making that film. I hope the prepped the ground for the madness ahead.
Oh, I HAD to tell my buddy Steve about Howling II the other night when we were recording our commentary for the Joe Dante original. I lent him my DVD. Lord, he's in for it now!

Spring Forward has always screwed with me. Worse when I had to work morning shifts. I would be a zombie for WEEKS. Today, I've been tired while I've had a pile of editing to get done. Not great.
Ugh! I've felt sleep deprived all day.
I heard itβs #InternationalWomensDay. Canβt wait for my lady Jessica to return to the screen later this month the new season of Daredevil!
I was listening to the new Shadows of the Empire audiobook performed by the spectacular Marc Thompson, and he literally did an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression for one of the alien characters in Chapter 15! If you ever wanted to picture Mr. Olympia in Star Wars, there it is!
Jack Nicholson in witches of eastwick
Robert de Niro angel heart
Al Pacino devil's advocate
Harvey Keitle in little nicky
My unified theory of casting is that you can cast any actor in your movie no matter how big they are if you offer to let them play The Devil.
Yeah, it's peculiar realizing most of the Mexicans are played by British or largely Italian actors in that film.
Listening to a bit of Jerry Goldsmith's score for The Shadow this afternoon as a bit of inspiration fuel for some creative writing.
π¨NEW VIDEOπ¨ Most Bond actors end their tenures in the tux without even knowing it so their final 007 films tend to be business as usual. This got me thinkingβ¦ what would the idealised, definitive endings for each Bond actors look like?β¦

My buddy Steve & I just watched this a few hours ago for a commentary track for my YouTube channel. An absolutely lovely film! An all time favorite!
Tonight, I got to tell Steve ALL ABOUT Howling 2! It was quite the moment. Wait to hear us talk about the Joe Dante original in a few weeks!
I just have a video to edit and I really want to finish reading some more of my trade paperbacks of Nightwing & Jessica Jones. They've been sitting around far too long, and I'm actually eager to buy more. No sense in doing that until I finish the ones I have.
Boy, I hate being tired when I've got things to do. Oh well, just gonna relax until Steve arrives and we can record commentaries this evening. It'll be fun, regardless.
Iβve only seen Sinners.
Happy 40th anniversary to HIGHLANDER, released in the US on this date in 1986. The American market got a very different cut than international audiences, and I documented every version in a video a few years ago.

Maybe I'm wrong.
The more they tried to depict the Q Continuum as something relatable to a human understanding, the less interesting it got. I think it worked alright in "Death Wish" for Quinn to express their stagnation, but a lot of the Voyager Q episodes never resonated with me.
