#12: Forever Kingdom: big fan of this one! i liked it a good deal more than the original Evergrace, actually. some of the most gorgeous spaces i've seen on the PS2 and despite a pretty rough localization i like the party you hang out with here, just immaculate

will say as someone who was big on automata at its launch i definitely soured on it and do think nier is the better game. part of my being sour on it tbh comes from the things that were lifted wholesale into automata, which is probably a bit unfair to the original's context
really been enjoying all the articles in this series you've put out!! very effectively conveyed what is so interesting and meaty in that game (although i do think i ended up more down on it as someone who came to it later after automata and yoko taro's cultural osmosis hit its peak)
