Just to clarify HOW bleak this is,
there were 369 women in prison on remand waiting for trials or sentencing in December.

No doubt the coalition are using the stats, but just confirming the NZCVS is not Police data.

To be fair, the NZCVS doesn’t use Police data, MoJ independently surveys a wide bunch of Kiwis about reported and unreported violent crimes - which are defined as “incidents of sexual assault, non-sexual physical
assault, or robbery” - so it shouldn’t matter whether the Police show up or not.

While there are still no Justice Judges appointed to the court as of yet, this is a good start on the great names front.

On Move On orders - I've been in some of the meetings with Ministers about city centre safety issues in AK; it has repeatedly been discussed that the people doing the anti-social behaviour and the people who are visibly homeless on our streets are usually NOT the same people.
