It takes Balsam Karam's novel The Singularity (@feministpress.bsky.social/@fitzcarraldoeds.bsky.social) as a launching point for thinking through latent space as a political space where subjectivity and collectivity are being fundamentally remade.

We hope this might open new directions for engaging the politics of urban AI and for broadening the questions geographers and others ask about emerging sociotechnical systems.
In it, we complicate how the human subject is invoked in urban scholarship on AI by rethinking intelligence, autonomy, and agency through a posthumanist lens.
