Trent is keen to see if scanning Norman Reedus' face will actually pass the age verification. We haven't been prompted on anything yet.

I was also pleasantly surprised that UpToDate's sepsis guidance was accessible and not pay-walled
I know you're far from out of the woods, but I think your survival chances are much better considering they managed to bring you back from the brink, and it's not MRSA giving you grief (we swabbed every patient admitted to the hospital because it's such an issue).
I started following a bunch of public health pages when Tasmania reopened, and the info on sepsis (to promote awareness) was really eye opening. Please bother the nurses π

*hugs* I don't think anyone was expecting to see improvement, so that was cool. She's all skin and bones at the moment, but happy. Helping her be comfortable in these final years is about the only reason I want to live right now.
My cat's blood test results all came back in the green after the vet was prepared to tell me she was actively dying. I think she's also *finally* developed a taste for her kidney food.
I want to wrap you up in a big blanket, make you your favourite tea, and read your favourite fics to you. For years... decades even, you have kind of lived on the liminal edge between life and death. Times like this where it feels extra close warrant extra time spent doing the things you enjoy. β€οΈ
The kits look so fun, but I'm so worried I'm going to buy AI generated art >< Since I can't afford to order my own prints, I think I'm going to dig through op shops if I ever finish what I have.
The awe I feel towards this tangle β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ At least it is thriving in other yards and nature strips
- Brainstorming an Easter Bunny scavenger hunt
- Gently, lovingly, and efficiently (lol) pruning backyard blackberry
- Wading through piles of laundry
- Knitting
- Diamond painting
- Emails to medical supports
- The cluttering process of de-cluttering
- Minecraft
- Being stuck at 30% or less
My 7yo niece was on national TV saying she wanted to vote for Dutton, because he looks like her Pop.
And that about sums it up. :(
(Oh, to clarify - not crash the car out of anger, crash the car because I can't wake up all the way)
So my Dad used to insist on waking up to a tuna melt, and once when I was visiting, I ate the cheese he needed (not realising of course). He had an absolute tantrum, and Mum had to run to the store to appease him. I was so horrified by their behaviour. But this makes sense now.
Uh... you're definitely on to something. π³ Coffee is my comfort waking up, and it's non-negotiable - like risk crashing the car non-negotiable. I've been embarrassed, because I don't want to be the person who gets really nasty over a morning 'habit', but... π
Erasing the words doesnβt erase the ideas or the people, but it does erase important scientific data with which participants entrusted us so that they could be represented, too. Itβs devastating. From @jeremyfaust.bsky.social insidemedicine.substack.com/p/breaking-n...
Gosh my brain is fully offline for about two hours while I drag myself from room to room trying to find the will to keep my eyes open. I've almost always been like this though :/
1. My old cat's happy chirps when I start making coffee in the morning
2. When my toddler falls asleep on my tummy
3. Playing Minecraft and exploring unknown digital worlds with my older kid
4. Going to the gym regularly for purely me time
5. Seeing people support each other online
This is the year the kids went through a Patapon phase, an Astro Bot phase, several Bluey phases... and I enjoyed Kaiju No. 8
More recently, my being alive matters to my family. I've been trying to embrace a sense of morbid curiosity about the future; a future I don't think will lead to any sense of fulfillment or peace. I want to express love for as long as I can, even though I can't talk to anyone for weeks at a time.
I only went to my GP for the assessment referral after you shared your experience. Before that, I had no idea pervasive anxiety could be a symptom of ADHD.
Was it the shortage? I'm on the same, but still trying to work out the right dose. When I started trying ADHD meds, I wasn't expecting there to be such an improvement to mood. Like - these meds are meant to help you organise your thoughts, right? But are they actually irritability suppressants?
I did save every bit of egg, and I had every intention of making custard and scrambled eggs...
But I am maybe a bit too good at saving things for a long time π
I'm excited to start practicing. I've already been telling my cat, Izzy, about Nate's little pup and how he's a bit like her.
@foxhall.bsky.social also ahhhhh your name β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
The kids and I would love to make you a cake some day.
Fun fact: we went through 11 eggs to get the 6 egg whites for the swiss merengue buttercream frosting.
I can 100% see that! XD
I *wish* I were that creative. We're just another family that watches Bluey.
π Yeah, my toddler wanted duck cake, but pink and strawberry. It was my first cake from that book that actually came out bearing even a slight resemblance to the picture.
If you see this, post something pink!
