I donβt understand the critical response to markiplierβs iron lung movie. Sure, it wasnβt spectacular, but it was a decent enough movie and a surprisingly good performance.

students I taught in grad school are getting married and having kids and I'm over here eating Chinese take out and wondering if I'll sleep in tomorrow
I want an Indiana Jones prequel but itβs just him in grad school doing maybe 3 weeks of field work but otherwise grading papers as a TA and writing his dissertation.

I'm finalizing some documents for work and in trying to remember the name @vluisasantiago.bsky.social's original Slender Man project I googled "Fred Slenderman".
I smell a sequel!
so then what do we do when our institutions (and colleagues) keep pushing the technology as a form of innovation? how do we push back against GenAI in collegial ways? is there such a thing? is this even a thing I should be asking in such a public space? Ζͺ(βΎΞ΅βΎβ)Κ
my current strategy for sharing my work has been doing things silently and not telling anyone which believe it or not doesn't work, so here's the debut EP from my cryptid electro-ska project Terrifying Pink Thing that I released on Dec 5 please consider checking it out.
