The Trump White House is gaslighting us again, this time over the massacre of scores of Iranian children by the U.S. military. Despite clear evidence of this, they are insisting that Iran bombed its own school. Thatβs a lie. My write-up in the replies.
Stunning! I hold the view that there is no such thing as a weed. Maybe a plant in the wrong place... π
Trump has now conducted 42 boat strikes, killing nearly 160 people.
Remember: no judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're simply taking Trump's word for it.
Heβs unilaterally acting as judge, jury, and executioner.
This is a danger to us all.
That's stunning. They seem to be able to collect huge amounts of pollen. I love it when they've been visiting scabious flowers because the pollen is pink π

If you look really carefully, you can see a grain of pollen balanced near the end of one leg #photography #macro
Dark-edged bee fly in flight
As soon as the weather improves, I'm off to look for some dark-edged bee flies (Bombylius Major). They are usually gone by the end of May. This one was photographed in our garden a few years ago. I love how they bunch their little legs together while flying #photography #macro
Please watch & share as widely as possible via social media & other means with friends & family. I've worried for months Trump was itching for an excuse to drop a nuke. This vet with 28 years working in close proximity to the 'doomsday' plane raises the highest alarm.

Iranβs people were facing a horrible shortage of water before the war began. If we are destroying desalination plants and setting fire to Teheran we are committing unfathomable crimes.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay
Hereβs to the women who lift others up, speak truth, show kindness, and keep moving forward, even on the difficult days.
The world is better because of you
Not really. Four hours every morning and another one in the afternoon. I wouldn't have it any other way though π
Not rubbish at all. Llamas are used to guard various flocks of animals π
I am, but it will take around six weeks. It's only two weeks tomorrow π
It is getting better, but no... bouncy goats don't help π
Oh good grief... π
Sorry - I didn't realise you were suffering too.
It will be two weeks on Monday, so still a while to go. Having multiple cats trampolining off my chest in the night isn't helping either π€£
Look at it this way... at least he isn't threatening Greenland at the moment π±
Robin perched on a mossy ledge with an out of focus background in autumn colours
I'm still struggling with my broken rib. Not helped by the fact that our two remaining goats managed to slam me into the side of the field shelter this morning while playing silly goat games.
Another one from the reflection pool hide last month #photography #birds π
Doofy the cat with his tongue sticking out
It was a long week, but at least I have Doofy cat to take my mind off it!

I think I learnt an important lesson last year π
Squirrel in the woods
With so little to photograph during a terrible winter, I resorted to paying for a reflection pool hide some distance from home. It didn't disappoint #photography #wildlife
Female kingfisher perched on a moss-covered branch. Although the weather was appalling, with heavy cloud and minimal light, the colours of the bird stand out really well

Kestrel perched on an old post in bright summer sunshine. The background is green and gold and out of focus
I have my monitor back for the moment, although Bubu (cat) is sitting nearby and is probably thinking about watching some Cat TV later. I had better post while I can. Kestrel in the summer sun #photography #birds
I was once given a Giant African Land Snail, by a pet shop that didn't want her. I say "her", but snails are hermaphrodites. You do need two to make baby snails though π
Me too Tea... me too...
π
Enjoy the festival! π
We live next to a very old coach road (eventually leading to an Abbey) that is lined on both sides by oak trees. It was one thing that made me want to buy the fields to go with the Lodge, as they provide excellent shade all day long for our llama and goats π
No shared photographs tonight. Bubu has decided he prefers my monitor over his tablet. We're currently watching Birder King together... π
