Demanding a Jewish person tell you their stance about Israel/Palestine outside of a synagogue in one of New Jersey's most populous Jewish communities — and then firing gel pellets at him — is unquestionably wrong and dangerous.

While there should be room for people to grow, learn, repent, and regain acceptance, Ye has not done that and the wounds he has left on the Jewish community remain open.

This is disgusting and disturbingly becoming the norm among far-right members of Congress. When elected officials decline to condemn this hatred, it is allowed to fester and grow.
We know we are *all* safer in a pluralistic democracy and must take these menacing, corrosive statements seriously.
And just this morning, we heard news of an explosive targeting a synagogue and Jewish museum in Liege, Belgium. We agree with Prime Minister Bart De Wever that this must be condemned and that we must stand united against antisemitism.
3 synagogues shot at in a week. This attempt to intimidate the Toronto Jewish community must be unequivocally condemned and thoroughly investigated. We are deeply relieved no one was injured.
And now, a video is going around of Herrera showing off his 1939 English copy of Mein Kampf. Owning a historic book is not antisemitic in and of itself. But paired with his past comments, a troubling and telling trend line is clear.
The video also shows Herrera goose-stepping to the Nazi marching song "Erika."
His schtick can be seen as a dog whistle to antisemites.
In a 2022 video, Herrera tested the MP-40 submachine gun, widely used by Nazi soldiers, which he refers to as "Hitler's street sweeper" and "the original ghetto blaster," an allusion to Jews being murdered in ghettos under Nazi occupation.
With Tony Gonzales dropping out of the TX-23 primary, the path is wide open for Brandon Herrera to take the GOP nomination.
Herrera is a YouTuber and firearms manufacturer who has an unhealthy fascination with Hitler and Nazis and a total disregard for those who suffered during the Holocaust.

The argument relies on overwhelming the listener with a torrent of terrible but ultimately unrelated horrors, feeding into damaging tropes that are often used to lay blame on Jews.

This video is a perfect example of how several different horrible things — Epstein’s crimes, the missile striking the Iranian school, and Palestinian children being arrested, among others — can be tenuously tied together to construct a convenient but dangerous conspiracy theory.
Conspiracy-laden actions like this do nothing to protect the victims of Epstein's disgusting crimes and are designed mainly to foment hatred against Jews. Organizers and policymakers that want justice should call out and oppose these toxic, antisemitic tactics that are bound to lead to violence.
Jeffrey Epstein was a monster and his victims deserve justice. At the same time, invoking "blood libel" — the conspiracy that falsely accuses Jews of murdering children for ritual purposes — is wrong and should be called out.
We condemn this vile demonstration outside the White House, which relies on gross, antisemitic conspiracy theories that have caused real-world harm to Jews for centuries. It's worth noting this is not the first time these organizers have used these harmful tropes.

And it should come as no surprise that Carlson, an ardent antisemite, is spreading such conspiracies on his show. After all, his network sells this mug in their shop, which blatantly calls to the deeply antisemitic trope of Jews as puppeteers controlling the world.
Take this as a remarkably obvious example.
Claiming a sect of Judaism manipulated the US government into attacking Iran to start a "religious war" is just so blatantly antisemitic.
Described by one member as "Nazi heaven,” the group chat was started by the secretary of Miami-Dade County’s Republican Party and included students from FIU.
This is just the latest example of young Republican men glorifying Hitler and the Nazis. And it should concern us all.

It is critical that we have a robust debate about the U.S.-Israel war with Iran. And it is also critical that this debate not be marred by antisemitism — or by weaponized false accusations of antisemitism.
Let’s talk about what’s happening on the ground and how we’re talking about the war.

Reports indicate the Austin shooter posted antisemitic, misogynistic, and anti-Christian rhetoric online — another reminder of how hate and extremist conspiracies can fuel real-world violence.
And we must build understanding about when language and ideas cross the line into antisemitism and hate speech — and push back when they do, regardless of the source or intent.
At the same time, we must protect the integrity of legitimate debate about this war, the countries involved in it, its reasons and causes, and its consequences — not seek to malign or silence those engaged in legitimate criticism and discourse.
So here’s the bottom line.
When antisemites jump on this war as an opportunity to blame or target Jews, we must call them out.
But commentators and policymakers need to be cautious about when their rhetoric can be used as ammunition to point at the Jewish community or plant the seeds of antisemitism in their listeners.
Blaming Jews for the actions of Israel is antisemitic. So is claiming that Jews sacrifice non-Jewish lives to advance their own interests or that Jews are disloyal to the countries in which they live. We know antisemites will do this no matter what.
Placing the entirety of the responsibility for the current war on Israel (not on Trump, who has threatened war on Iran over his tenure and ultimately made the decision for the US to go to war) is overly simplistic at a time that requires careful analysis. And it'll inevitably be used to attack Jews.
