You're in for a treat. The show continues to get better in the later seasons! Enjoy!
If Weird Al did a parody of your song, congrats on your success.
If Weird Al does a original song in your style, congratulations, you are a badass musician who won the approval and admiration of a musician's musician.
i need an emotional support perogi
Best. Concept. Art. EVAR. :)
Make shitty art.
This needs to be said more often.
Everything a person creates doesnβt have to be perfectly polished and beloved by the internet masses.
Even if you do it as a job.
Donβt forget to create JUST to create.
Shitty art is also fantastic.
Introduce yourself with 5 concerts you've been to (eclecticism challenge accepted):
Rush
Genesis
Roy Orbison
Gordon Lightfoot
David Bowie
Got hooked by the quirky title of a short story -- "Demons in the Fridge" -- and read about ten pages before realizing it was "Demons on the Fringe".
Disappointing.
Also, now I must write a story about demonic appliance possession.
Working titles: "Eggcorcist"..."Devilled Eggs"..."Milkastopheles"
Mount Fuji as seen via a airplane window during the hazy orange navy blue light of sunset.
My wife and I are on a last minute trip to Thailand and we had a brief 5-hour stop in Tokyo. As the plane landed we got to see Mt. Fuji at sunset. The photo does not capture the majesty of the view, nor the beauty of the misty golden light behind the mountain.
Man, I miss MIRVs.
Mega Man 2 front cover. It's a thousand times better than the atrocity known as the Mega Man 1 cover.
Gradius 3 SNES cover showing the Vic Viper spacesuit blasting the daylights out of something.
NES Pro Wrestling cover showing Fighter Hayabusa suplexing a dude that only kinda looks like Star Man.
The Little Big Planet 2 cover. Sackboy is holding a yarn version of Earth.
I give Dr. Wily an annual ass kicking.
Gradius 3 for SNES may have the greatest soundtrack of any video game ever.
Show me another game I can whack dudes with a wrench.
LPB2 is maybe the most fun I've had with a platformer (and you can whack your family with a frying pan that goes *SPANG*).
I remember someone making a good point a few weeks ago about how people view Bluesky as βboringβ actually being a good thing
Youβre not meant to be addicted to social media 12 hours a day, youβre supposed to see a few posts from people you follow and go about your day
I bet he's just as servile when Trump comes for Greenland. And Canada.
Normal Rockwell I believe man
Porn and erotica are important and societally valuable forms of speech, and the defense of them, in the face of state and church attempts at repression, is a necessary political act.
How about a bakery called "Enter-Pies: Where No Bun Has Gone Before"? π

If anyone cares at all, EV battery recycling is now hitting 99% recovery for important metals
Please remind me again what the recycle rate for fossil fuels is

Ending day 3 of #artAdventCalendar with 472 participants. A fair bit slower than last year where we had 625 on day 1 (!!)
but still good numbers and most importantly...great posts.
Be sure to let your artist friends on here know what a cool thing this is.
Er... Black Toby.
This may be .. problematic. π¬
I probably oughta sit this one out.
BREAKING: Three original Bob Ross paintings just sold at auction for a combined $600,000 β all to support public TV stations struggling after Republican funding cuts. π₯Ή Decades later, Bob Ross is still painting hope across America. π¨
A fluffy calico cat is basking in the sunlight, sitting in front of a window on a square stool that has a green blanket draped over it. She is backlit, her face in shadow but looking directly at the camera.
This is Nepeta basking in the sunlight. It's really the best thing to do in sunlight, I gather. π
A regular sized Mini-Wheat in my palm compared to this bloody monstrosity which is about 7 times larger and oddly misshapen and came out of my cereal box in a decidedly not-mini state.
This is not a Mini-Wheat. There is absolutely nothing "mini" about this. This is just a Wheat. Or maybe just some kind of Frankenwheat.
Kraft swings for the fences and offers Cotton Candy flavoured "booster" for its original Kraft Dinner (Kraft Mac and Cheese to our American neighbours). It did not go over well.
Behold the Abomination. They need to make a crayon called "Abomination Pink" just because of this. Nothing in nature is this shade of fuchsia. Tasted... odd but not offensive. Less cotton candy, more "mediocre candy you find in a drawer at Grandma's house".
We flirted with this sort of thing a few years ago here in Canada with our Kraft Dinner (same thing, different name) with such experiments as Cotton Candy and Poutine. At best, it "got in your mouth". I'm quietly hopeful yours is better than that.
P.S. - I added Alt Text for further description
Why are ICE agents being paid during the shutdown, but not air traffic controllers? π€¨
cartoon: A long sandwich coils around and up like a rattlesnake Caption: Don't bread on me
Editorial cartoon: Don't bread on me. Enjoy :)
The truly maddening thing is that, unlike when I was a young man in science and the materials and engineering just werenβt there yet, the future is *right there.* The problem is *solved*. Whatβs holding us back is not just greed, but this bizarre nostalgia, an obsession with petro- masculinity.
The villain of Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights, Mastermind, voiced (and sung, frequently) by Tim Curry, who is too damn good for this game but made it memorable.
The front and back cover of Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights for the PS2, a janky as hell game to play but man, Tim Curry went HARD with the voice acting and singing!
You mean Tim Curry, the guy who voiced Mastermind and sang all of the songs in Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights for the PS2?
I got one of these once when I was 8. Almost put me off of beer for life. If you're gonna give a kid a beer, the least you could do is give him something decent like a Labatt 50 (hey it was 1984; not like we had a thousand options back then like we do now).
I'd rather get a rock than these. Tastes better.
I was getting a kick out of him playing Billy Joel's "Pressure"!
