i dont think advocating for myself and separating these ideas is lending them credit. i think we should be advocating for what is okay and what is not. vague blanket statements will just confuse people, and reaffirm thoughts like "well these people oppose a ban that censors bad shit".

i do understand your point of "dont give them anything to work with", "dont fuel the fire", but im not going to treat everything as the same. im going to do what i can to highlight and break being gay, trans, or having benign kinks away from the darkest places possible.

i want it to be clear only what is truly harmless should be treated with that weight. caught in the crossfire with morally reprehensible ideas. it cant all be treated the same. i hope you dont truly believe im justifying broad censorship under the guise of fighting pedophelia. assumptions dont help.

the right is conditioning people to treat pedophelia and queerness as the same. i intend to uphold a distinction and protect the image of queer people. youre not really understanding what im saying at all and eventually theres only so much more i can clarify before i just accept im not being heard.

anything even close to enabling that discussion and making those intentions feel any less demonized could give a sense of empowerment to very malicious people. id hope we dont all lump everything into one category in the end, because thats how the right treats queerness.

this doesnt mean the approach is to have a binary mentality of "all of it is acceptable or none of it is acceptable". thats quite harmful, and i think nuance has its place in this discussion. again this is not a full endorsement of this move, but we dont want pedos talking like theyre victims too.

recognizing that is not an endorsement of the idea that all adult or queer content should be purged. if youre unintelligent maybe youll be conditioned to view everything on the same level, but i'd think anyone who can think for themself has differing opinions on different concepts being censored.

i think any decent person would agree that censorship of queer expression is evil, but also for the removal of any csam material from the internet to be a great thing. like we can see that and not have anti censorship hijacked by genuine pedos. id recommend having clear cut principles.
