I saw LAIKA's posts on Instagram. I would absolutely love to go to an exhibit like that. Fingers crossed it goes to the ACMI in Melbourne. It'd be worth the flight to Victoria.
You can tell it was made by the same director that made Kubo and the Two Strings. Unlike Bay's films, it actually has some heart.

(I just think robots have a certain special charm in stop motion that they lack in CGI or hand drawn animation. Probably comes from watching Wallace and Gromit.)
I would've liked to have seen the Bumblebee film completely severed from the Bayhem continuity and made with stop motion animation by LAIKA Studios. I'm probably alone in thinking that though.
I can totally see it looking like Macross Plus.
9_9 Fortunately, my local cinema doesn't seem to attract that audience. When I saw Flow, it was a packed session and yet virtually everyone stayed through the credits. I doubt anyone was expecting an after credits scene.

Sitting through Star Wars and Indiana Jones end credits when I was ten years old was how I became a fan of soundtracks. I hooked up a cassette player to the VCR and recorded them to tape listening.
I really wish streaming services would let me watch them without trying to push me on to the next thing. It’s such a mood killer.
End credits for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (extended edition) when I saw it earlier this year.
I don’t sit through the end credits to see a post credits scene. I sit through the end credits for the end credits. It’s nice to bask in the atmosphere of the film, staying inside that cocoon a little longer before braving the outside world again.
