Message from Ukraine:
Thank you, Canada.
For being yourselves when so many others are trying to be worse.
You reminded us that we are not alone.
Because of you, this morning felt a little less like the end of the world.
And more like something worth staying alive for.

Not a word of a lie: I have been given the task of hunting down the remains of a sea monster. I think Iβm in the right career.
You know how to party!
Congratulations!!!
Preparing for markets next weekend⦠Let market season begin!
A soft springtime illustration set in a sunny glade, a group of young bunny girls in frilly white dresses and flower crowns prancing around a tall wooden maypole carved in the shape of a rabbit. Each girl holds a ribbon and reaches for the paw of the next girl as they dance, braiding the ribbons around the neck of the maypole. Colorful flags are strung from the top of the pole and flowering trees, bushes and grass decorate the background.

Featuring charts! References to small towns! The implicit understanding that nothing on this earth is forever and society is inherently tenuous!

Last week, I read a book which was, beyond doubt, the worst novel Iβve ever read. This week, Iβm reading a novel that has, in its beauty, inspired me to new heights.
Thatβs what I love about reading: you learn something from every book you open β even the really, really terrible ones.
Beautiful cover!
A green horse diving through murky water, its tail and mane mixed with reeds carried by a trail of bubbles. Surrounding the horse is a mixture of aquatic plants flowing in the same direction.

A mostly blank page with the words Strong and Free, from the English version of the Canadian national anthem ) Below the fold of this newspaper sheet , in smaller type, news and editorial references to the trade war
This is the first page of this morningβs edition of the Globe and Mail (arguably the English Canadian paper of record)
I donβt remember seeing anything like this before
