I’d like to believe I just started Metroid Prime 4, but the game says I have 45% of scanning done and 2/5 of the McMuffins. So maybe I’m not far enough to judge, but it feels like they replaced the metroidvania elements of the series with open world elements. But why?

The E33 discourse really helped explain why I didn’t like it. If you havent liked a jrpg since 2001, then you don’t like jrpgs. It’s good at best and overall forgettable as it didn’t push the genre forward. Everything you like about it is in a long list of jrpgs that have been released for 24yrs.
There are 5 people and 6 tables in the library’s graduate studies room. One person at each table. A 6th person walks in, where do they sit? If you guessed the 6th table that’s empty, you’d be wrong.
Switch 2 is a glorified game boy for me. I’ve been playing it on the go and beat all of pkmnLZA and almost all the side missions. I got like 5 missions left. 6/10
My conspiracy theory is that aliens are real but they all act like Roger from American Dad. Like when a public figure does something that only makes sense if Roger did it, that’s an alien in a costume.
