2. If you were preparing an application for a writing residency at a uni which CV would you go for? Arts/normal job CV or academic CV.

1. Do you really include EVERYTHING in an academic CV or have people been pulling my leg? And, if you do include everything, how on earth do you organise it? I usually do sections (writing/non-writing) but even then the profusion of short projects makes chronological ordering complicated to follow.

Okay academics and poets, explain this one. For arts jobs when people say 'send a CV' they want two pages max. But I've heard university norms are different and the CV includes everything you've ever done and then the kitchen sink.
I have questions:

But go on a sunny day, it can get very bleak Great Expectations marshes out there and while you are on the marshlands you never feel you quite escape London if you know what I mean. Always high rises in view somewhere. Edgelands.

My gut reaction was Rochester Castle and walking along the estuary past the half sunken boat and on to Upnor Castle. But maybe thatβs not what you meant.

A never get to wear party? Itβs like a fancy dress party, only everyone is asked to wear something they love but have the least opportunity to wear. I have a hat which falls into this category. Itβs surely designed to be worn while mourning rich husband who died in an unfortunate boating accident.

Yes, it's tricky. Loomy and Later don't seem to be on Bluesky either. The non-Hootsuite ones I've found which do Bluesky are almost as expensive as Mr Paymeoverathousandpoundsayear Hootsuite himself.

That's a good point: annoying but not as annoying as the bill. hmm... trouble is then integrating linked in and bluesky for things when I'm away.

If you no longer use Hootsuite due to its extraordinary pricing but you need a social media scheduler for, say, your small literary organisation. Which do you use now? Are Later or Loomy any good?

Kate Potts is a poet, academic, mentor and editor. Her second poetry collection, Feral (2018) was a Poetry Book Society recommendation and a Telegraph poetry book of the month.
I like Kate Potts' 'A Telephone Conversation with my Sister/ Footnotes'. It's set out as footnotes to an absent text. I couldn't find a text of it online, but here's a reading of it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1TV...
