Two days in a row my work computer has just frozen at 19.12 and while the fan has been running like crazy. Nothing to do but ro force it to shut down and restart.
Very odd, and almost like it's trying to tell me something.

Coming home late from work, somewhat frazzled after a couple of weeks like this, I put on Lazer Guided Melodies. I'm not entirely sure this was the right choice.
London dawn.
I went for an evening walk around the neighbourhood:
Law and order: Gunnar Asplund’s Gothenburg City Hall (1935-37). I got in here (legally) so you don’t have to, let’s go ⚖️🧵
a view along the canal (really a moat) in Malmö with a somewhat ominous-looking Kronprinsen in the far distance:
The AJ can reveal a first look inside O’Donnell + Tuomey’s new school of architecture at Liverpool University
It's not entirely dark when leaving work just before six:
WAS HOPING TO BUY A TICKET ON A DE HAVILLAND COMET TO A COUNTRY THAT USED TO BE CALLED SOMETHING ELSE BUT ALL I COULD FIND WAS WOMEN’S CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES.
Very similar. They're a bit odd, those angled boards, as I understand the reason for having them but I can't remember having seen something similar anywhere else, not even at the other log buildings at the same manor.
BOAC Offices (1970), Glasgow - Gillespie, Kidd & Coia (under Andy MacMillan & Isi Metzstein):
Malmö:
yet another corner: Kungsladan (the King's Barn), Rankhyttan, dendochronologically dated to the late 15th c. (trees felled 1492).
Working too much recently, which seems to be an occupational hazard. One I could do without, I might add.
Our Lady & St Francis School: another Gillespie, Kidd & Coia building from the MacMillan and Metzstein era.
Well, they ended up extending and remodeling inside, and atop, the old walls: sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riksdag...
Oh, I just have the Wilfried Wang one and then there are chapters in Johan Örn's I rummets kraftfält. I also checked Fredric Bedoire's Den svenska arkitekturens historia 1800–2000.
Yes, I kind of remembered the money issue but couldn't find a reference in my books yesterday.
And it was the actual Riksdag competition where he sent in two entries, and took two out of the top four spots.
'It' being the-parliament-in-Kulturhuset, if that wasn't clear.
Once upon a time I posted a link on Twitter with some info on it but unfortunately that link seems broken.
Btw, did they mention that Celsing had two entries in the parliament competition, coming in 2nd and 4th place?
REASONABLY INTRIGUED TO LEARN THE EXTENT OF THE DETAIL DESIGN DRAWING PACKAGES FOR THIS BUILDING.
Corner: 7-9 Merrion Row (2002–07) - Grafton Architects
Progress on rebuilding the Glasgow School of Art (GSA) Mackintosh building could be decided by an insurance arbitration hearing next month
Another corner: Årsta Church (2012) - Johan Celsing
And some from my first visit in 2010:
Here are some photos from my last visit to Hill House back in 2019 when all the old roughcast was still in place:
Hill House (Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Mackintosh) being restored under cover as it dries out following years of water ingress. From a fascinating visit with iconichouses.org and @n-t-s.bsky.social
