It really did hit my motivation hard. I was in a very dark place for the past year and the static kept growing louder. I was just lucky to be able to ground myself, having people supporting me at my lowest.
Even though I hate my evil f*cking job, having a temporary solution was better than nothing.
And like, I've barely dented my student loans over the past five years. I'm gonna be paying these loans for the rest of my life, and with the industry shitting on what I paid to learn, it's literally depressing.
Welp. My contract is ending soon so I'm gonna be out of a job for a while.
I should've planned for this better, but I was under the assumption it ended at the end of February so I thought I'd be good to for a bit longer, but it ends tomorrow so I should not have spent so much the past week. :(
The fact Granblue Fantasy Relink and Oblivion Remastered are getting Switch 2 ports is exciting.
I have a Steam Deck, but they're pretty unoptimized. Relink at least runs a stable 30fps, which is fine, but Oblivion Remastered barely hits 20fps in the open world without looking worse than the OG.
Was just told that "only mainstream normies like Oblivion, real TES fans hate it" from a MorrowindBro. That's crazy. We have so many cakes man, why can't TES fans be normal :(
Realizing I can just buy the Japanese version of Skyrim and download the english pack so I can play the untouched Vanilla game while also having the anniversary upgrades I regretted buying.
Like nothing against them, I just don't have nostalgia for those versions. I was there at launch.
And finding motivation to do art has been very difficult. The drawings I do are never quite right. It's a struggle to get out of bed, much less draw. And when I do sit down to draw, guilt paralyzes me.
Art block so bad I need to breathe and do something new first to feel again.
I really do need a new passion. Which is why I bought a violin to finally have closure with myself when I took a violin class the entirety of 5th grade.
I surround myself with trinkets, books, and games. They do bring me joy and fun, but seeing them laid bare in front of me I realize I'm not happy
Like I legitimately don't relate when people talk about that "want" or "need" for another person in a romantic way. I support them and understand it is a feeling that is valid, I just don't feel the same.
Fictional crushes have a sense of detachment, and I never self-insert anyways.
If anything, the only reason I always hesitated to say anything about my identity is because I would loathe to be misunderstood or have my words misconstrued.
Like I'm serious right now, this isn't a ploy for pity or sympathy. No plans to manipulate and gaslight. I don't have time for that shit man
I don't know how to come out as aroace without expecting questions. I grew up in a pretty restrictive household so I always confused platonic feelings with romantic/sexual ones. And I still have yet to fully explore who I am.

Like if a friend goes on a long tangent about a story arc in their favorite media, I'm right there with them. I don't have the full context, but hearing them go on about it and keeping up with it is fun! It's great to engage in media you aren't familiar with, especially if it's coming from a friend.
I don't like being ashamed of my interests. I love Zelda, Splatoon, Elder Scrolls, Etrian Odyssey, Runescape, Adventure Quest, Castlevania, Dark Souls, Apothecary Diaries, etc.
I love engaging in stories or delving into the world. And I love hearing that same passion from others about theirs
Friendship should never inherently be a sacrifice or obligation. I don't make friends to expect to make returns on what I put in. Of course I love all my friends equally, even ones I talk to on occasion. We have busy lives now and it brings me immense joy to pick up where we left off and catch up.
