sitting with friends and family in the artist's private dining area I looked across the room to see tony alone at one table and bill bruford with his wife over there at another. I thought, "well somebody has to do something!" so I walked over to tony and pointed to bill, who then came over. I said to bill and tony, "there's a woman at my table who says she's willing to pay to take a picture of us." "how much?" I said, "fifteen dollars? we can split it three ways." that's all it took. The thing is “Roxy Erickson” is a legit great description for a band esp if they could live up to it. I would have used that description in the OC Recycler or on the flyer board of Music Mart in Costa Mesa in 1989

I liked the 30 episode version a lot - reminded me more of a telenovela and I’m down with any show where the leads always take a time out for noodles and beer and make light of what’s happening in the episode. In the Netflix version, I want the Trisolarians to win.
