Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading Whack Job, Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA, and maybe I'll get through the last hour and a half of Beautiful Things, if I can get past the part that's giving me anxiety.

Reading Sunday: This week I'm probably going to finish Beautiful Things and then probably start the second book, as well as continue reading Enshittification and Ancillary Mercy. And probably start Whack Job for the Morbidly Curious Book Club.
Do you make a TBR each month or are you a mood reader?
Hope the surgery goes/went well and I'm sending you fast healing thoughts.
It's only when you can't have dairy that you really appreciate all the things that have it in them. Luckily it's only a short term thing for me.
I need to know what programs/websites all these internet sleuths are using. How do they find so much about someone with only a name? (Seriously admire that effort)
"If you are being kidnapped off the streets by a masked secret police & whisked around to transit camps to avoid any legal attempt to help you, if you don't know when you're getting out, if you have a chance of being killed in the facility & no one will know where you are or what happened to you..."
Reading Sunday: This week I'm planning to continue reading Beautiful Things, Pyramids, Caesar's Last Breath, and Ancillary Mercy.
What's on your plate this week?
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading Beautiful Things, Ancillary Mercy, A Black Women's History of the United States, and Spymistress.
I wish I could join you
In watching
The game that you like
but
It is slow
And it is confusing.
They have to play a band
in the middle
So the people who love it
wonβt just go home.
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading Blazing Eye Sees All, Ten Mountain Men, A Black Women's History of the United States, Spymistress, and I'm going to pick Dungeon Crawler Carl back up.
Painting of a woman looking out a window at a snowy scene. Words to the left of the woman read "Once the weather gets warmer, I'll be unstoppable. Unless it gets too warm. Then I'll be stoppable again."
The moment I had money, I bought it. Even though I own many of them already on Kindle. It's nice to have copies I know aren't controlled by Bezos.
Both are great but Stiff has more levity than Mindhunter, if you're needing that after Midnight in Chernobyl.
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading Reinventing Your Life, Ten Mountain Men, Spymistress, and maybe one or two books I've set down previously.
What are you planning to read this week?
In the midst of all the horrors, a fire last week claimed my nieceβs familyβs home in St Paul, including their 3 cats and her momβs prosthetic limb. Her dad is in the ICU with a brain bleed. Itβs not safe for them to leave their temporary housing. Please help if you can.

Thank you, I hadn't heard of this book before, but I just put it on hold at the library. More light these days is very welcome.
βThey avoided one another's faces, for fear of what they might see mirrored there. Each man thought: one of the others is bound to say something soon, some protest, and then I'll murmur agreement, not actually say anything, I'm not stupid as that, but definitely murmur very firmly, so that the others will be in no doubt that I thoroughly disapprove, because at a time like this it behooves all decent men to nearly stand up and be almost heard... No one said anything. The cowards, thought each man.β β Terry Pratchett, Guards! Guards!
As Pratchett said:
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading Atomic Awakening, Ten Hammers, Reinventing Your Life, Pyramids, and The Last Empress of France. And maybe Trick Shot also.

BREAKING: Senate Republicans just blocked the clean ACA tax credit extension that the House passed to save millions of people thousands of dollars each.
If youβre paying double or even triple for health insurance, blame Trump and the Senate GOP.
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading Fluff, The Last Empress of France, and Trick Shot.
Are you reading anything good this week?
Reading Sunday: This week I'm still reading The Greatest Nobodies of History and Fluff. I might also keep going with The Nightmare Before Kissmas.
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading The Unclaimed and The Nightmare Before Kissmas.
Are those the only options because I don't want either. Lolsob
Tumblr post by and-fishing-equipment reading "in 2026 DO NOT ask yourself whether your art is GOOD instead ask: - Is it SINCERE - is it CATHARTIC - was it FUN TO MAKE - is it MADE BY ME and don't forget to stay silly"
unironically a good idea
Reading Sunday: This week I'm reading The Time Traveler's Passport Collection, The Nightmare Before Kissmas, For Whom the Belle Tolls, and Recipes for an Unexpected Afterlife. And I'll probably pick up a nonfiction book but I'm not sure what yet.
What might you be reading this week?
Me: *yearns to be taken care of*
Also me:

βI handled it alreadyβ
βIt didnβt occur to me to askβ
βIβll just do it myselfβ
