I don't have any trim and it's just a covering for the insulation so a couple of drops of adhesive should be plenty to hold them in place. 🙂

The garage/workshop is going to be purely functional but I'll definitely have some sounds of some sort.

Got a half decent hardboard cutting method to try out.

I'm measuring with calipers and use cls timber as a guide/clamp.

I can't find my other g clamp but as luck would have it, a bolster makes an absolutely ideal wedge.

I'll try a pull saw first and see how I get on. 🙂

I think that'll do it. Tool placement will sort itself out over time naturally but it's a decent use of space.

I'll see about covering the insulation on the ceiling with hardboard next.

Cutting it to fit between the joists will be entertaining. 🙂

I think I have the shelves roughed out and as a side note, two tubs are an exact fit in height, breadth and depth on the shelf underneath and it was completely accidental.

I don't think I'll ever top that. 😎

I thought I'd slap some paint on the wall behind the bench and added a rail for hooks up top.

I have lots of offcuts I can use like Lego to figure out shelving height and placement.

Nothing is straight, level or at 90 degrees but I don't measure stuff anyway so it's all good. ☺️

I'm going to tackle the workshop a quarter at a time and will start with the Bench of Vigorous Persuasion.

It's my original bench from the old place but I've given it a once over with a belt sander and will start thinking about shelves/tool storage. 🤔

I have a handy vent at the back left and will use that for extraction of the laser cutter fumes and I'll switch it with 3d printed blast gates for soldering. 🙂

Oh, it's an essential. The test area should do for that, I also have plans for the back half of my office and want to make a gaming nook of sorts. 🙂

Remembered an old 'wrist flick' trick I used to do with CDs. It turns out that it also works with aluminium business card blanks. ☺️

The bandsaw is being willful so I cut the bolts with a hacksaw and flipped them round to get more purchase on the wood.

Once I move the lathe, I can decommission my engine hoist, and that should give me enough room to comfortably work on the saw.

I kinda want to ride it down a hill... 😂

I need to trim down the bolts on my lathe stand so will need to set up the bandsaw.

I'm sure there's a better way of uncorking a new blade... 😂

Made a mobile stand for my metal lathe.

I went at it like fixings and glue were going out of fashion. It should allow me to tuck it under a bench out of the way when not in use. ☺️

I've had a thoroughly pleasant time building three benches and now have approximately 7 square metres of bench space! 🥳

I can start looking at placement and standing up tools next. ☺️
