It has been so difficult to move the conversation about RE and the National Curriculum on in the last half a decade but this might just do it.

It's a recommendation and it is for a gradual process but it is there - in black and white. Very good news!

I misread the tone of your post and the BG context. Apologies.

You said "Do these β€˜young adults’ know?".

Your post is questioning if the young adult readers know. Given how much of the high street is owned by private equity, I don't think creating a moral panic over Waterstones is really going to help anyone.

I wish I'd taken photos - I've seen this poster in Armenian, Georgian and Turkish in the last week!

One of my summer plans has been to get better at reading Cyrillic and learn some Russian.

It has been a real lesson in phonics instruction because I can decode but it is taking me a long time to be able to blend!

There's a lot of Fred Talk going on.

It's the summer holidays, which means I have a copy of Primary Reading Simplified to give away.

Simply **repost** this post for your chance to win.

I will pick a winner on Sunday 17th August.

Good luck!

The car hire guy in Yerevan was a Newcastle fan (born and bred in Armenia of course) and was ribbing me about not being in the Premiership.

The best part was getting to meet my Russian friend who I've known for nearly 10 years. He escaped conscription in Russia and lives in Yerevan now and I'm just so grateful the internet exists so we got to know each other. #Π½Π΅Ρ‚Π²ΠΎΠΉΠ½Ρ‹ #ΥΈΥΉΥ΄Υ«ΥΊΥ‘ΥΏΥ₯Φ€Υ‘Υ¦Υ΄

Missing Yerevan already - just an absolute banger of a city. So glad we got out into Armenia too even if the road trip experience was a bit nerve wracking at times. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡² Can't wait to go back.

Took Oswald to the Festival of the Unexceptional yesterday - one of my favourite days of the year. A celebration of the mundane! And I love the mundane.

Big fan of Merlin! It has helped me identify the birds without the app now. Sat in my office listening to a song thrush as we speak.

I always struggle with Summer 2, especially the last few weeks and I'm sure I'm not alone.

When I've been getting home from work I've been doing a flying tour of Africa from London to Cairo, Khartoum, Entebbe and Dar es Salaam.

I manage to squeeze some work in whilst I'm in cruise!

A 3D view of the front of the school, created by the KS2 children from Clapham Terrace Primary in Leamington. This was built up over 4 days with all of the children taking part. The school is a beautiful Victorian School, so we tried to capture some of its character.

This artwork was created about a month ago, but the Head Teacher has just sent me photos of it proudly displayed in the school hall. The KS2 children from Clapham Terrace Primary in Leamington spent 4 days creating these two pieces of work.
