In nyc you have to be more vigilant about your 5 year old having AI programs in their class than your 16 year old I swear (I could be wrong but the former is VERY true)

And then parenting small kids who are on the front lines of AI on top of it!!! It is so much.

Remember when teachers spent the majority of their time planning lessons, grading, and thinking about new units for their students? Now we have ICE protocols, AI protocols, lockdown trainings, & we have had to become experts very quickly in taking care of young people who are suffering from trauma.

I feel like in my lifetime I keep *wanting* to be a teacher and then something so horrifying emerges and teachers are on the front line of it and I’m just like oh no … I can’t be that brave. It’s messed up.
