...and then most of the team was fired after release anyway.

Not to mention there was a lot of dishonesty about where the money for the game was coming from. Whole thing was secretly funded by Tencent.

It sucks a lot, but the really tragic part is Highgaurd was kinda doomed to fail even before it was announced.

Had some of the worst dev abuse going on during development. Some devs were only given a week or two for stuff like the character designs and UI. Whole thing was a wash from the start...
