Iβm shocked, stunned etc.
Meanwhile, everywhere else around the world assumes Australia has cracked it and are rushing to copy their law.

The UK will make the worst foreign policy mistake since the Iraq war if we get sucked in by the USA into providing military convoy escorts through the strait of Hormuz.
And if things turn really wrong there, it could be our worst foreign policy mistake of all time.
I'm really looking forward to working with a great campaigner and friend, Caleb Pell on @whitehorsedc.bsky.social .
I am continuing to push for better access to medicines where there are currently shortages.
Medicines that support those with ADHD and menopause are life-changing, and it is unacceptable for constituents to be left without the care they need.
Absolutely. And Human Rights are core to everything we do as Liberals - it's in our DNA.
I'm really glad to see that @eddavey.libdems.org.uk attended this and got up on stage.
The Lib Dems are clear: Trans Rights are Human Rights
It's interesting that so many of their customers don't renew their contracts. Much of what they do is take an organisation's data and build a dashboard. Sort of thing I would be tempted to give as a project to a recent graduate...
There's no appreciation of ancient history these days. History isn't what it used to be...
No surprise to see Trump totally out of touch with the impact his reckless war will have on UK households. But he isnβt seeking election here. Badenoch and Farage should hang their heads in shame for their boot-licking unconditional support for Trumpβs unlimited war.
I'm generally in favour of putting data centres closer to power generation, but this has the possibility to unbalance the grid, and puts a lot of eggs in the same basket.
At 1,000MW (ie 1GW), the power consumption of this proposed AI data centre is approx 1/40 of the power draw of the entire UK... www.constructionenquirer.com/2026/03/12/u...
I hope you disinfected it thoroughly! Can't be too careful...
You need a "think dissident" badge!
You should hear your friendly local historians on the subject of Churchill!
Good luck to Liberal Democrat candidates in today's by-elections:
Cotswold; The Beeches - Paul Evans
Liverpool; Aigburth - Dave Thomas
North Kesteven; Sleaford Westholme - Susan Hislop
Vale of White Horse; Abingdon Abbey Northcourt - Caleb Pell
Westmorland & Furness; Penrith South - Barbara Jayson
I recognise those roads & paths! #Abingdon
We know padre, we know.
The US is widely reported to have hit the Qeshm desalination plant. The response from Iran suggests they may now use the precedent to justify attacks on Gulf plants. Attacking critical civilian infrastructure is a war crime. The Govt must seek an urgent explanation from the US.
Andy delivering Liberal Democrat leaflets for Caleb Pell & Carol Dunne for the Abingdon Abbey Northcourt by-election!
Great to get out this morning supporting our two wonderful Lib Dem candidates Caleb Pell & Carol Dunne #Abingdon
As the Americans land B1 bombers at RAF Fairford, President Trump is promising a relentless assault. We are being drawn into an offensive war. The PM must spell out to Parliament what constitutes a βdefensiveβ operation and the limits on the use of our bases.

Good choice!
A detailed and helpful post explaining the full story of the Oxford Road roundabout, and what's happening next. Thank you @nathanley.com !
Reform's Trump-style plans for an ICE-like immigration force in the UK will bring only chaos and disorder, not the control our immigration system truly needs.
Vocabulary recap:
Preemptive strike (n.), an unprovoked military attack.
Hilarious... she's invented a rank in the police that I don't believe exists!
Didn't she get someone to check before she hit "post"?
I have to add the standard disclaimer - I am not a lawyer!
Interesting precedent! One to discuss the next time I see one of my colleagues working in New Economic Thinking...
Nominative determinism playing out, clearly!
Thank you, Manchester!
"There is still some good in the world, and it is worth fighting for" - with apologies to JRR Tolkien.
It is delightful Reform supporters are calling Gorton and Denton vote tainted.
This because "women were told how to vote by their husbands".
In the US, their ideological friends are trying to push a law that will make it much harder for married women to vote.
