I don't know if I would agree. It is certainly cheaper (at least in most places) and probably will taste "better", because you've made it, but in terms of nutritional value it doesn't have to be better. Also some people simply don't have the time or space to really cook regularly.

One could argue, that in 2024 being able to "cook" isn't really that much of a necessity any longer bit more of a neat hobby to have.
