The State of the Union is FUCKED! I can't watch anymore, all I can do is live my own life the way I believe is right. Oh, and I can slash my monthly expenses by 50% only giving money to small, local businesses. If everyone did that, our voice would be heard loud and clear by the corporacrats.
First sign of life in American culture in years: The San Francisco Teachers Strike is over and the teachers WON!!! Congrats everyone that worked so hard to make a massive voice!
It's time to start imagining a future that doesn't look like some generic post-apocalyptic, flooded, vine-covered mess. It's time to start work on our experience as people and the world we want to live in. We can do so much better than this.
If only we had people that we selected by some fair process to help everyone live better. We could have them deal with local issues like our children getting good education and their teachers being paid what they are actually worth to us.

What's the shutdown about? For one thing, the lil' orange guy and his buddies want to turn away critically injured humans from the hospital if they aren't in the US legally.
