When designing our SolarPunk: Renewal maps, our artists kept coming back to the beautiful solarpunk vibe of that "Dear Alice" Chobani ad. The hopeful mix of nature, tech, and calm spaces really stuck with us. (plus we love yogurt)

A friend invited me down to their cottage in Betws-y-Coed during this strange void of time at the end of the year. I enjoyed hiking around and visiting cute pubs and snuggling up under blankets while looking out at the cold hills. Such a cozy wintery way to ring in 2026.

Happy Halloween, I am in bed with the plague but at least I got to celebrate last weekend before succumbing to whatever hellish cold this is.

It's great seeing everyone's tips for keeping cool. Here's mine.
i) Take a trip to the mountains.
ii) Spend some time in a cooling cave.
iii) Find an underground lake.
iv) Get undressed.
v) Hunt the silvery fish and eat them raw.
vi) Forget the torments of the evil face in the sky.

One of the biggest disappointments in moving to the UK is that when people are talking about pie it is never the kind that I am hoping for. Just once I would like it to be fruit, not sausage or potato.

I have recently discovered Dandelion & Burdock here in the UK, and what I thought at first was a 70's crime fighting duo was actually a delicious soda.

However, much like Irn Bru - I have no idea what the actual flavor is.
