New full-stack project for a portfolio piece using React and ASP.NET. Just a glimpse at the store front in mobile but still have a long ways to go.

Some AI generated concept art exploring the Aetherpunk genre. I've been working on a text-based roleplaying web app and considering building around the Aetherpunk setting rather than simply medieval fantasy.
Would love to hear some thoughts on this idea.

Some more updates on the pen pal app. I decided to take this project in a totally new direction. However, this project is done. Not bad for a 3-week project and everything is working great.
Here are some screenshots of the profile page, inbox, and search engine for the app

Just a little something I made playing around with web development and some CSS/JS tricks. Interesting quick project to make, but needs some work for mobile deployment.
Code on my github: github.com/NautiGameDev...

Working on a new project I'm genuinely excited about - first time in a while I've felt this connected to an idea.
It's a gamified pen pal platform with some unique twists (more details to come).
So far: login/registration + onboarding flow are complete.

Depends.... how nerdy are your tattoos?
When you are at the end of your CS degree and you have to take a class you should have taken in the beginning.

Ahh yes⦠the transition to fascism is almost complete.
Honestly, I think Bethesda should just take the same approach No Man's Sky did and keep working on the game until it meets player's expectations. The game has a good foundation and there are moments where I'm impressed. But other moments I slam my head against a wall in confusion.
Ok fine.. I'll learn javascript...
Since I need to know it for aspnet and blazor anyway.
Now I'm wondering how interesting of a game I can make with just primitive shapes and zero art assets... π€

This looks great. It's on my wish list since I'm broke, but next time I'm shopping for a new game to try I'll for sure check it out.
I posted a playthrough video of Six Cards Under on my YouTube channel to demonstrate a full run.
The game can be played in the browser on itch: nauti312.itch.io/six-cards-un...

Just discovered there was a dungeon crawler game jam last month and one of the themes was mixing genres.... Six Cards Under would have been absolutely PERFECT for that game jam.. π
Sigh.... next year...

I'm very fascinated by the art style choice. It's so simple, but it looks amazing when it all comes together in the game.
Here's a look at the final product of "Six Cards Under" submitted for Pixel Game Jam 2025. Playable in the browser on itch.io. Pick six cards to build your deck, then descend into an endless dungeon.

Pixel Game Jam 2025 submission "Six Cards Under"
A retro dungeon crawler mixed with deck building mechanics. Completely playable in the browser. Can't wait to hear some feedback on the game.

That would be awesome. I would love to hear your feedback on it.
It will be a deck builder but due to the constraints of the gamejam I'm going to make a drafting system, where the player chooses 6 cards before the run then those cards will build a deck of 24 for the player's deck.
In the last two days of the Pixel Game Jam. Here's a preview of "Six Cards Under" so far. Working on the menus now, then just need to add audio and a LOT of polishing.

I'm the same way. I used to do artwork before but realized my time is better spent coding.
Looking good! Did you do your own art work? Or are you using an asset pack?
Progress on the Pixel Art Game Jam so far.

Raycast rendering

Player controls

Card drawing/casting
β
Player UI
βEnemy AI
βDungeon generation
βDeck Building
βInteractables
Feeling pretty good about the game so far. Once the foundation is done, scaling will be easy.

I'll be participating in the Pixel Game Jam! Good luck to everyone else participating.
I'm not burned out this time so I'll for sure be posting a game (As long as I don't over-scope my project)

Some more "Doom clone" testing in Blazor WASM.
1. Discovered I can make a Winforms app to run Blazor apps without a local server.
2. Added some basic textures with transparent rectangles overlay to create depth. Still can't figure out complex textures π

I'm still amazed by the pseudo 3d techniques used in the 90s. I just recently tried my hand at making a raycasting FPS and I haven't quite figured out how you guys got the textures to look so good.
I love it π every now and then I try to take a break and play video games, but that just makes me want to program moreβ¦
Took a break from my Blackjack project to learn how to make a raycasting FPS in Blazor WASM. Accidently created a rave...

Next Blazor WASM project in the works. Combining Blackjack with TCG elements. The face cards have abilities that impact Blackjack gameplay (Still to be programmed).
Current state of the game: Basic Blackjack game is done.
